I asked of Bumbler with no reply, so I ask you:
If she refuses to issue license to gays, then is it alright for her to issue licenses
to transgender?  Or is it alright for her to issue licenses to divorced couples? Or
is it alright for her to pick and choose which facets of her religious beliefs
she gets to enforce?

i believe that buckstrider and cicero and myself have already given our respond.

for me.....there should be NO LICENSE aka permission to get married.

grant them a certificate.....AFTER they get married....according to state laws.

and yes, religious freedoms are protected under the LAW.

you can't severe two masters.

i think the point here is that there is no answer for an unconstitutional law....that really isn't even a law.

the clerk can't break a law that isn't even a law.

ya git what i mean?

be careful....absolute power corrupts absolutely....do you believe in the absolute power of the federal government
OVER the States????

If you do then that is why none of us here agree....

Sorry, forgot you have a law degree that allows you to usurp the
law as directed through validation by SCOTUS. Love to see you
in action in the courtroom!
Never asked if you liked the law or not...asked you specific
question because IT IS THE LAW!

Which LAW did the Federal Judge say the clerk violated?  Which law is the clerk usurping?

So do you support the federal government  incarcerating the Kentucky county clerk indefinitely if the Kentucky state legislature fails to remove her from office for not issuing marriage licenses?

Is that what I posted Cicero???
Or
Is it what you really wanted me to post???

Personally... this is just one more election year BS propaganda campaign.  Glad you are taking part in
it.

i find it hard to believe that folks are not questioning this 'unconstitutional' law.

the supreme court CAN NOT make laws!!!!

it is treason if they do.

and i don't care if it's about gay marriage or what color you must paint your house.....THEY DON'T HAVE THE POWER....PERIOD!!

If the Supreme Court cannot directly enforce its rulings.......then who, or what branch of government does?

Now that we've heard Bumbler's "opinion" on this issue... (and since the supreme court DIDN'T MAKE
ANY LAW), here is what the supreme court did do:
Quoted Text
"EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW"-These words, written above the main entrance
to the Supreme Court Building, express the ultimate responsibility of the Supreme Court
of the United States. The Court is the highest tribunal in the Nation for all cases and
controversies arising under the Constitution or the laws of the United States.
As the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American
people the promise of equal justice under law and, thereby, also functions as guardian
and interpreter of the Constitution.

EXACTLY....they can't MAKE laws.

EXACTLY....they can't MAKE laws.

But it is their obligation to declare if a law is constitutional or not... and they did.

they have no authority over churches.....

Quoted Text
The movement to obtain civil marriage rights and benefits for same-sex couples in the United States began in the 1970s.[4] In the 1971 case Baker v. Nelson the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that denying marriage licenses to same-sex couples did not violate the U.S. Constitution. On appeal, the United States Supreme Court denied to hear the case, establishing it as a federal precedent as it came from mandatory appellate review. The issue did not become prominent in U.S. politics until the 1993 Hawaii Supreme Court decision in Baehr v. Lewin that declared that state's prohibition to be unconstitutional.[9]

look at the wording, CIVIL MARRIAGE RIGHTS.....participation in government religion.....that what that is...which is fine, but the government
has no authority to force churches to perform same sex marriages if they don't want to.....

she was wrong.
It's about the government extending permission and telling you what your rights are as a human under the weight of the government
and in the system.

oh, you're free alright

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
