Thank God I'm not a private business owner trying to start up a business!!

Looks like the only way to succeed in this place is to get funding via METROPLEX/GILLEN!!

Ya'd think folks would be applauding and supporting ANY private business that hasn't gotten YOUR tax money!!

I supported BOTH the CVS proposal and the Walgreen proposal.

Conosidering you stand alone on the planning committee, you should not be bragging. Remember, you are the one quoted by local media making the absurd and utterly stupid statement that the residents were against the proposal becasue it was CVS.....it showed you heard none of their issues or concerns, which you are suppossed to consider when making a decision on a planning committee.

My point is.....you folks are going after a 'private business' that is NOT taking your tax dollar.
the location and it's effect on quality of life nor is not the issue....no?

CVS/Walgreen/Walmart vs restaurant = apples and oranges

Ah, ok - so another restaurant is ok. Just not CVS/Walgreen/Walmart?  Perhaps another recovery grill? Moe's? Pizza place? Gin joints guising as restaurants downtown? We all know they wouldn't take a dollar of taxpayer money.  Nah, never.

Wolf Rd seems to be doing just fine with a gazillion restaurants.....yes?

AGAIN......my point is that there is an unwarrented lynch mob effect going on over a 'private business' that takes NO taxpayer's money!!! (there are many of them) If/when it opens and ya don't want to patronize it....don't! But for God's sake....it is a 'private' business....not a chain....not looking for a METORPLEX/GILLEN hand out.....not jeopardizing/disrupting a quality of life! OMG!
