The FACT is that the restaurant did NOT fail. Schenectadians and others loved and supported it. And we are patiently awaiting its promised reopening in a new location.

Gee I thought DVR/Gazetto stated they would reopen within a month. Typical credibility.
The owner was quoted in the Gazette stating that the restaurant would reopen sometime in February. And we all know that the Nayboob Republicans and the nayboobs who post here have made all kinds of statements .. and NEVER followed through or were proven 100% unsubstantiated.

The truth of the matter is....no one wants to see any business fail............especially in schenectady county.
However.....this is a realistic view of the economic environment in schenectady. Unless it is supported/relocated/bailed out with taxpayers $$$ aka METROPLEX/GILLEN....it can and most times will fail!
And that is a reality no matter how much mis-leading rhetorical cheerleading is spewed.

Sad that even the multi-million Plex projects go under as well.
But, when you have Bombers, Villia Italia and the MacDonald's opening restaurants completely Plex funded and tax exempt, a independent entrepreneur cannot afford to compete. Not only are the property and school taxes going to kill a businessowner in Schenectady, but who wants to open in a crime ridden area?
Come on, even the Plex offices in Center City and Proctors were robbed.
