WOW!  Bumbler seems to imply that Florida Election supervisors are "ALL Staunch Liberal Nut jobs".
All 67 Florida Election Supervisors, whether they are Republican or Democrat are (according to Bumbler)
"Staunch Liberal Nut jobs"... every one in the entire state of Florida.
Amazing!

Let's dissect more dishonest reporting.
Quoted Text
All 67 Florida elections supervisors said Friday they will discontinue a state-directed effort to remove names
from county voter rolls because they believe the state data is flawed and because the U.S. Department of
Justice has said the process violates federal voting laws.

The article doesn't state how many of the 67 discontinued because of the threats by the DOJ and how many by the "flawed data". Since they stopped AFTER the DOJ letter and nobody stopped BEFORE the DOJ letter, it is most likely they stopped until they received further legal council from the state AG to be sure they are not found in violation of federal election law.

This is the federal government threatening the State of Florida.

If the State of Florida is in violation of federal voting laws... "threats" are not enough.  Fine Election Officials
until they comply with our laws.  However Cicero's "threats" are not necessary... Every Florida
Election Supervisor stopped the illegal voter purge and are now in compliance with voting rights laws. Only
Florida's Republican governor is "threatening" to break the law.

Ron Labasky, the association's general counsel, sent a memo to the 67 supervisors Friday telling them to stop processing the list.

"I recommend that Supervisors of Elections cease any further action until the issues raised by the Department of Justice are resolved between the parties or by a Court," Labasky wrote.

I was looking up some information on someone, and came across this information.  Now I know why some people live here, and not in certain other states...  I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot

Quoted Text
United States law

Until 2007, the California Penal Code Section 26 stated that "Idiots" were one of six types of people who are not capable of committing crimes. In 2007 the code was amended to read "persons who are mentally incapacitated."[13] In 2008, Iowa voters passed a measure replacing "idiot, or insane person" in the State's constitution with "person adjudged mentally incompetent."[14]

In several U.S. states, "idiots" do not have the right to vote:

Kentucky Section 145[15]
Mississippi Article 12, Section 241[16]
New Mexico Article VII, section 1[17]
Ohio (Article V, Section 6)[18]
The constitution of the state of Arkansas was amended in the general election of 2008 to, among other things, repeal a provision (Article 3, Section 5) which had until its repeal prohibited "idiots or insane persons" from voting.[19]

idiot was an old term....we have given it multiple different palatable words with fancy definitions of which have now been shortened via texting, obscuring anything
that resembles definition of idiot....or do they?

On Wednesday, Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher (D) said her office has rejected the
error-ridden list of alleged non-citizen voters sent to county officials by Gov. Rick Scott’s (R-FL)
administration. Now, as the Department of Justice has told Florida to stop its illegal purge, other county
elections officials across Florida have confirmed their counties will not comply with the state’s effort:

– Sarasota County: Joyce Soltis, administrative assistant to Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent (R) said that
the county received 14 names of from the state as sure-fire non-citizens. At least two to three of them have
already proved their citizenship to the county and one was removed after indicating that he or she was not
an eligible voter. Soltis said that while the remaining 10 or 11 voters have not responded, due to the significant
inaccuracies on the list, the office has decided “we are not purging anyone” from that group.

– Volusia County: Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall (R) stated that that county received 15
names from the state. One was not even sent a letter, because the voter is currently serving in the military
and another has already proven citizenship. But she said they have no plans to remove any of the remaining
13 voters unless her office receives clear proof. “To say the least, the list is very suspect,” she explained.

– Hillsborough County: The Tampa Tribune reported today that Supervisors or Elections Earl Lennard (R) has
also decided not to remove any voters on the unreliable list from the rolls without first receiving corroborating
evidence that the voters are not citizens.

– Pasco County: Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley (R) told the Tribune that the state had told supervisors
that this purge list was “the low-hanging fruit” with “rock-solid data that they were not citizens.” He
expressed frustration that the state has put them in a catch-22, complaining “If we truly comply and
remove those that don’t respond, then folks say we’re suppressing voter rights. If we don’t, we have
people saying we’re allowing non-citizens to vote.”

– Marin County: Because it has proven to be anything but “rock-solid” data, Supervisor of Elections
Vicki Davis (R), president of the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections, told the Tribune
that she believes “most of the counties” have decided not to purge any voters without other evidence.

The great thing about this voter roll purge charade is that only the 2 major parties are in control of this illusion of democracy.  Who represents the unaffiliated or the other parties?  NOBODY!!  They are just the supporting actors in the two party play.  How much longer before the American people become numb to these staged events and see them for what they are?  The two parties need to convince you elections are legitimate, then when the elections are over and the citizens are settled down believing their votes made a difference, then politicians from both parties can go back to steering tax money to they bankers and special interest, while stuffing their pockets with our money, as the citizens gear up for the next illusionary democratic selection.

Every election, the dumb a** political commentary on the alphabet news networks headline the election coverage as 'the most important election of our lifetime'...Every f'n election seems to be the most important.  The next election that is coined 'the most important of our lifetime' is the election where nobody shows up to the polls...Then America will start so see real change.

Cicero you have just explained exactly why term limits are needed for Congress because once elected under the current method they care nothing about what's good for the country but only worry about getting re-elected.

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Florida finds Gov. Rick Scott's approval rating has sunk back down
to 31%, with 56% of voters disapproving of him.

"One thing that hasn't done his popularity any favors lately is his push to eliminate some people from the
voter rolls. Only 34% of voters approve of that effort to 50% who disagree with it."

I think the same phony polls came out in Wisconsin showing public opinion was against Scott Walker.  How'd that turn out?

All the polls that I saw had Scott Walker ahead for the last several months.  They were correct.

Does Florida have a recall provision?  If so recall him.  He will certainly lose based on the polling.

Let them purge all the names they want, providing that anyone who shows up to vote and his name is not on record, gets, $100,000.00

Florida to sue DHS in voter registration battle
By Jonathan Easley - 06/11/12 05:14 PM ET

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) said he will sue the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to move forward with his controversial attempt to purge the voter rolls in his state of ineligible voters.

“I have a job to do to defend the right of legitimate voters,” Scott told Fox News on Monday. “We’ve been asking for the Department of Homeland Security’s database, SAVE, for months, and they haven’t given it to us. So this afternoon, we will be filing a lawsuit, the secretary of State of Florida, against the Department of Homeland Security to give us that database. We want to have fair, honest elections in our state and we have been put in a position that we have to sue the federal government to get this information.”
