There are no cracks in the Democratic organization.    We have a great county chairman and a great town chairman.     We have a full list of committee persons who work collaboratively to select candidates and do all the other work of the party ---- unlike the Rotterdam GOP which is like 3 people in a phone booth making all the decisions.

Personally, I don't agree with law enforcement, past or present, being in a governing position.
I also do not agree with elected officials being the chair of their party such as rotterdam's TJ and when GP was.

In all do respect here, it appears that the three musketeers on the town board have created a HUGE crack in the dem organization. The three musketeers took it upon themselves to throw up a last minute budget at a tb meeting, WITHOUT ANY PUBLIC DISCUSSION OR INPUT!! Then they throw up a last minute resolution to hire a legal firm, again, WITHOUT ANY PUBLIC DISCUSSION OR INPUT! And they b**ch about FDG??? OMG!!

Then ya got DM pissin and moanin and dragging a handful of seniors out on a cold night, while self patronizing herself, because she ain't at the senior center anymore! Like the whole world should stop revolving! palleeeezzzzeee.

Then ya got her highness, ND doing the 'wink wink' to DM.....folks saw that and cringed.

Then  ya got a guy standing up at a tb meeting trying to circumvent his discredit of a town employee with the most ridiculous 'dog story' people have ever heard.

Then  ya got an X-supervisor that is promoting quid pro quo!! It is just unbelievable. I'd be running from that bunch quicker than you could say 'gumbas'!!!

Ya sure got a bunch there!! Pathetic at best! Good luck!!

Delgallo and Godlewski shut out the rest of the Town Board during the budget process -- the only opportunity for  Ms. Dileva, Mr. Martin and Mr. Parisi to inject their proposals was at the Town Board meeting.

The firing of Diane Marco was another example of the sexist,  egotistical  dictatorship of DelGallo and Godlewksi.

And as for Mr. Paolino  -- I have always considered him one of the best public officials that I have had the pleasure to know.   He is a good and decent man ..  and he stood up to the two  school yard bullies.

I particularly liked when he said that the two should show that they are men -- because quite honestly -- I believe that the two dictators are the most immature persons that I have ever encountered in public office.

The entire rotterdam town board is a joke. I'm not defending one over the other. There is more than enough blame to go around. This entire town board isn't worth a drive to a polling location. All FIVE have lowered the standards of rotterdam.
I think rotterdamians can agree that fdg is NOT sexist. That is your typical rotterdam political rhetoric. This is a political spitting match over who's cronie stays and who's leaves. IT'S POLITICAL....as usual!

It's a sad day in rotterdam when neighbors and families are being pinned against each other all over these five dysfunctional town board members.

Their egos are the largest rotterdamians have ever seen!! The last rotterdam administration had their issues....but this administration couldn't shine their shoes! IMHO

No -- it is a battle between 3 persons who sincerely want open and good government -- and are appalled that they were BETRAYED by 2 of their team  mates.

I have voted in every election for just about 40 years --   and in all that time - I can count on one hand the votes cast that I later regretted casting.     Two of those votes are sitting on the town board -- one will be gone on December 31, 2011  and the other we have to wait almost 3 years to boot off.

The thrill is gone. The bloom is off the rose. Too bad there is no GP around to blame this debacle on. Now the DEMS are fighting like babies over some make work lob job. Boo-hoo.

It's all about me, me, me and never public service. Make the senior director volunteer and see if DM still wants it-lol. The town deserves better and needs the checks and balances of two party democracy. November can't come fast enough.

Exactly benny. They courted and wined and dined fdg anticipating that he would be not only their cash cow, but their puppet. They assumed he would bring rotterdam back to the old constantino/kirvin days. Ain't happenin. The three musketeers are the ones that are making frivolous non issues a major cost to rotterdam issue.

It is obvious that the three musketeers are good party puppet loyalists. And it is costing the taxpayers dearly.

DM and JD have already retired. Then stay retired and let rotterdam move forward!!

Wishful thinking BT. Haven't you heard this is the choice for Town Jerk? They will never retire. They will stay at the public trough until removed kicking and screaming. The fuss over some low paying hack job is hilarious. Stop using seniors for political hay. The DEM Rotterdam working together team has hit a new low. Air your dirty laundry in private-everyone is sick of seeing it. You are making the County and City DEMS look good.

I swear, if you substitute "Politburo" for "Demcoratic organization" and "USA" for "Rotterdam GOP" you could see that the missing gap in Ron's resume (all 35 years) was secretly filled  when he was senior party editor at Pravda.

I agree, in part...

I believe the Democrats intended to use FDG for both financial and political reasons...and he disappointed them...to the pleasant
surprise of many, I think.

I believe you are wrong, however, about the "three musketeers", as you call them...at least one is not Party puppet...the second does
not seem like a puppet, based on his voting record so far...the third is loyal to the TJ faction of the Party...but must go along with the
other two if he is to remain loyal to TJ...which he is...because this is really a matter of TJ v. BG...that's why the Democrats will not
authorize FDG again...that's why TJ hijacked the local Party Committee...because the former Chair did not share TJ's hatred for BG and
everything associated with him. TJ does not support ND precisely because she is not a yes person...and I know he isn't thrilled with
MM either. TJ hates FDG because he listens to BG...for whom TJ has nothing but contempt.

The truth is, there is really no telling what damages would have been inflicted if not for those "three musketeers" and their refusal to
accept being left out of everything.

Ironically enough, I do believe that the "three musketeers" could have worked well with FDG, if not for the influence of BG....and as
of late, FDG does appear to be making sincere attempts to work with them...and they have responded in a civil, cooperative manner.

The three musketeers were part of the same campaign that wanted and supported the idea to bring rotterdam back to the constantino/kirvin days. They already succeeded by bringing their old crony JM back. They also succeed with giving the developers carte blanche eg. BI and recently TD.

They three musketeers also screwed the rotterdam taxpayers by sliding through a budget that had NO public input.

They also screwed the rotterdam taxpayers by hiring a legal firm WITHOUT public input and minus a bidding process. Not to mention it is over budget.

They have also neglected to put the ALS contract out for bid. Monies that the three musketeers accounted for in their last minute budget.

This is what happens when they attempt to rekindle the old constantino/kirvin days. Ain't gonna fly with a more educated and more informed rotterdam electorate!!

WHAT A MESS ROTTERDAM IS!!

NONE OF THEM ARE WORTH ANOTHER VOTE!!!!

I think FDG is just really surprised that there are actual rules to follow in the real world.....even when you want to toss money there are rules to that too...
laws/regulations etc etc......oh, and contracts.....

Mr. DelGallo and Mr. Godlewski developed the budget behind closed doors WITHOUT consulting the other 3 members of the town board.   Just like  the two of them develop the agenda and shut out the other 3 members on every other issue brought before the town board.  they had no choice but to make the amendmentson the floor at the Town Board meeting.

Mr. Martin  and Ms. Dileva were legitimately elected and Mr. Parisi legitimately appointed - each - as one of 5  EQUAL members of the Town Board.     Each members vote and voice counts equally .. the Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor have rather limited powers beyond the other members of the board.

The ALS contract has been held up by Mr. DelGallo and Mr. Godlewski for months.
