U.S. Government propaganda tries to give the impression that aerial bombardment achieves near-surgical accuracy, so that military targets can be destroyed with minimal effect on civilians. Technical documents give a different picture.

Let's take the US military:

In nearly every single action more civilians are killed than soldiers.

We don't own the entire world.

It is not ours to bomb and attack at will.

In Iraq, even the most lenient counts are approx. 200,000 killed.

With 75% being civilians.

This does not justify killing innocent people.

You are describing a hostage situation whereby no consideration is given to the innocent, because you have already self justified your retaliation.

If Hamas fires rockets, retaliate against them.

Blowing up innocent people is terrorism.

Fighting terrorism with bigger terrorism is an absolutely un-winnable situation.

In the late 1990s, some of the worst terrorist atrocities in the world were what the Turkish government itself called state terror, namely massive atrocities, 80 percent of the arms coming from the United States, millions of refugees, tens of thousands of people killed, hideous repression, that's international terror, and we can go on and on.

Gaza Strip is 139 square miles and has a population of 1.8 million.

Do the math.  

Based on an article I read, Hamas had 3000 elite fighters that were ready to attack Israel.  Israel flattened neighborhoods with air strikes going after 3000 fighters in a densely populated area.  And you still blame dirt poor Palestine?  Talk about propaganda?
