What would you do if armed men knocked on your door and told you to get out of the house you and your family have been living in for generations, because they claim God gave them the rights to that land? Then they stick you and 2 million of your neighbors on a shitty piece of land half the size of Manhattan, then control the food coming into that land, to make sure the people are living just above starvation. And when a few stand up for their right to that land they have been living on for generations, and begin firing the military equivalent of bottle rockets into the land that used to be theirs before, "God" gave it to the "chosen people", God's chosen people drop 2000 lbs precision guided bombs onto this land half the size of Manhattan, killing your wife, brothers, sisters and children.
Let me guess, you would lay down your arms after tens of thousands of acres were stolen from you and your neighbors, and continue to live under the occupation of those that claim God gave them the deed to your property.

The 'Palestinian' identity only really started in the early 1900's. So as I asked, I ask again.... What would happen if Israel (Jews) laid down their arms tomorrow? third....i don't think there are 'sides' here...according to the bible....it is just what it says....believe it or not.
There's a lot of room for interpretation in those books. They always tend to skew to the material advantage of the person reading it. You rarely hear any theocracy say they give up land or goods because their religious book told them it belonged to somebody else. You would think the Native Americans would have played the 'right to their land' based on an ancient religious book. |

Who knows it will never happen, ask yourself why Israel never finishes the job and leaves just enough for a further crisis a year or two down the road. Ask yourself why Israel cries victim when it has the power to end it and the backing of us to stop any UN intervention. |

Palestine would settle to accept the worthless land left over after Israel confiscated all the valuable land and resources, and the Palestinians will have accepted an existence of poverty. And Israel, after confiscating all the valuable land and resources from the inhabitants of the land will live in wealth and prosperity. It's a pretty good deal. I don't understand why the Palestinians would not jump on such a great offer. |

Which Jews? The Jews that immigrated to Israel from Eastern Europe beginning in the early 1900's? Many of which were Khazar converts to Judaism, and can in no way trace their heritage to the Jews that occupied that land 2000 years ago. Please, tell you can trace your heritage back 2000 years and account for every person in the genealogy tree. I would love to see that. |

There is no room for logic or politics regarding the jewish/muslim issue.
Bottom line is that THEY believe this.....
Jews - God gave Israel to Abraham's 1st born....Isaac.
Muslims - God gave Israel Abraham's 1st born... ishmael.
And it gets even more complicated.....In order to be recognized as a jew...you MUST be born of a jewish mother. Ishmael's mother, Hagar was not a jew.
We could discuss this until the cows come home, but this is what each side bases their conflict on!

It gets even crazier. Abraham and Sarah were not Jewish by lineage either, they were converts. The reason Isaac is considered jewish is because he followed "God" and Ishmael didn't. Ishmael didn't convert. |

If it were simple...I'm sure america would give the jews the state of texas to call their very own.
If it were simple....I'm sure one of the arab countries would give the palestinians land to call their own.
But obviously they would rather spend decades/hundreds of years killing each other over this sliver of land called ISRAEL!!!

Who knows what will happen? Just everyone that has been paying attention. If Israel lays down their arms tomorrow....It spells their end. There will be slaughter in the streets. The heads of Jew children will be stuck on sticks for display. Women will be forced to convert and be turned into baby factories or die. Men will be hanging from their necks from bridges on fire. The most holiest of sites to Judaism and Christianity as well as cultural treasures from the distant past will be all destroyed. Hamas will fulfill it's charter. If Hamas/PA lays down it's arms tomorrow....Nothing.Peace happens, just like Israel has been wanting for decades. The embargo/blockade on Gaza is lifted. The walls come down. An era of prosperity opens up along with the free movement of people. That's what happens. |
