You're the source Nazi. I'm just informing those who care to read this, who the source of the Cosmos is. You don't question the source of the information anymore box? I guess a production company that produces comedies now producing science propaganda is a credible source for you. Lol!!!
So who is the source of Cosmos??? Who supplies the FACTS, (not the animation).
Is Neil DeGrasse Tyson an "unreliable source" for you? Who would you ask for a Scientific explanation of the origins of the earth???
NOTE: If I were a scientist and wanted to use an animation to show my science... I wouldn't ask Cicero or Henry to do the job. I'd get someone who knows animation. Wouldn't you?
So far... Cissy has no objection to any of the FACTS presented in the show. Only the producer.

So they used the asteroid theory? I'll stick with Family Guy
Here's Cosmos view of the origins of life.
What is your view Henry??? The Bible??? Magic? Science???

Nothing about life there, it just tells how we were a big flaming lava dust ball. I'm interested in the water since it now makes up such a huge amount of our planet. Some theories I heard is that all the water on earth was brought here by asteroids, is that something you believe? Also lets say we came from a single cell, how did that single form of life begin, how did it reproduce without a host. Lets go back further, where did the dust come from, or any form of mass for that matter.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson's paycheck for his work on Cosmos is signed by Seth MacFarlane's production company. MacFarlane already publicly stated that he produced Cosmos to combat what he considered "junk science". He admitted it was propaganda pushing his personal view of what is legitimate science.(Not for his animation) It's slick propaganda. But if that's what you are into...

Water was explained in episode 2. You should really try it.

Jezzzz . Check out the old 1970s Cosmos with Sagan. He explained the origins of life from his "cosmic soup". If you really want to know the answer, look up the old Cosmos and "cosmic soup". My guess, you really don't want to 'learn' anything.

I asked questions which neither explained and they only offered opinions which they admitted was not facts. Using what they said took place the only possible option would of been life came from another planet which life existed on, however they didn't say that, they say that all life started here on earth by a magically created form of life that just popped out of nowhere. So basically your God or creator magically appeared, similar to the lines of most religions.

Henry. With every post, you show how little you actually know about our solar system. Read a book or better yet, watch Cosmos. You need it! There is little or no water on asteroids. Sorry Henry... ya just can't make up Science.
Asteroids that are nearest the Sun are mostly made of carbon while the ones further away are made up of silicate rock. The metallic asteroids are composed of up to 80% iron and 20% a mixture of nickel, iridium, palladium, platinum, gold, and other precious metals. A few that are made up of half silicate and half metallic.

If you'd just watch or read the explanation from the original Cosmos, you'd know how life began on earth. (It's explained in very simple terms so even you could understand it.)

Henry. I couldn't find the more detailed video but I did find this brief explanation of the origins of life. No magic.... just science.
This video explains our 4 1/2 billion year journey condensed into one year. It only briefly explains how life began. There is a more detailed video on the subject, but this gives you the basics. ... OR ... you can stick with your version... IT WAS MAGIC!

Is every asteroid identical in their makeup and have they been since the "Big Bang"? Does science know every element in the universe?

WOW! Cicero seems interested in SCIENCE instead of just pushing his tired old agenda.
Here's how you find out your answer Cicero:

I thought since you watched Cosmos you would know. I guess it's back to the inter web for FACTS.
Of course I know the FACTS. I didn't know if you prefered the real FACTS or the Magic Facts from the bible.
There are four major classes of asteroids: C type, D type, S type, and V type. Each has a different composition and position in the universe.
C type are found in the outer areas of the main belt and are darker and more carbonaceous the the S type. S type are found in the inner area of the main belt, closer to Mars, and are composed of mostly stone and iron. D type are also known as the Trojan asteroids of Jupiter and are dark and carbonaceous in nature. V type are a far out group. They hang out between the orbits of Jupiter and Uranus and are made of igneous, eruptive materials.
