Of course I know the FACTS.  I didn't know if you prefered the real FACTS or the Magic Facts from the bible.

Yes, you know them thar FACTS.  I'm pretty sure most of your life you were absolutely positive there were 9 planets in the Earths solar system, and one of them was called Pluto.  That's what your science teacher taught you, it was part of the state curriculum.  And they tested you and graded you to see if you memorized the names of all 9 planet.  Guess what?  The FACTS about the solar system miraculously changed, and science changed their FACTS and created a whole new category of plant called a "dwarf planet", and Pluto is no longer recognized as a planet.

Isn't that neat how science can indoctrinate children with absolute "facts" only to realize later it was science fiction?  Imagine if a group of scientists were skeptical of Pluto being categorized as a plant because they had data that wasn't the consensus at the time?  Those scientists would be called Solar System deniers and flat earthers because they dared to stray from the consensus.

YES Cicero!  Now you get it!!!
When SCIENCE progresses, it posts it's mistakes and miscalculations for everyone to see.
(Unlike your 'bible' SCIENCE which is never wrong cause it comes from GOD. )

SCIENCE offers proof and challenges anyone to refute those facts.  Just like the law of gravity,
which is a SCIENTIFIC FACT, and EVOLUTION, and THE AGE OF THE EARTH.   Sometimes new
scientific breakthroughs will add to the knowledge of SCIENCE.

Now that Cicero has joined the PLUTO IS NOT A PLANET CLUB...  All the more reason that he should
watch COSMOS.
COSMOS's host has been described as one of the "MURDERS OF PLUTO!"

Yes, that's why you global warming-cooling-climate change absolutists are part of a religious cult, and skeptical scientists of the theory are heretics(or deniers).

It took 75 years for the Pluto miscalculation to be discovered.  So for 75 years, people were convinced of a fact the never was.

Cicero is still pissed off ever since he found out that the earth isn't flat.
Poor Cissy!

Henry.
With every post, you show how little you actually know about our solar system.  Read a book or better
yet, watch Cosmos.  You need it!
There is little or no water on asteroids.  Sorry Henry... ya just can't make up Science.

The theory I posted is not mine but what scientist believe caused it, your problem is with them not me.

Quoted Text
Scientists don't know for sure. Perhaps the most popular theory says that, shortly after the Earth formed, millions of asteroids and comets, saturated in water, slammed into the planet, releasing their payloads to form Earth's oceans [source: CNN]. Scientists are working hard to understand more about what our planet was like billions of years ago, and each new piece of information moves us closer to understanding how Earth's oceans, lakes and rivers came to exist.

Read your own post.  "Asteroids AND COMETS".  Comets are NOT Asteroids.

Quoted Text
In order to understand what are comets made of, we need to break down the
three main parts of the comet: the nucleus, coma, and tail. Comet nuclei are known
to range from about 100 meters to more than 40 kilometers across. They are composed
of rock, dust, ice and frozen gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane,
and ammonia. Sometimes called dirty snowballs, recent studies have shown that the
ice of a comet is covered by a crust. Comets also contain a variety of organic
compounds as well as the gases already mentioned. Some of these are methanol,
hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde, ethanol, and ethane. More complex molecules
such as long-chain hydrocarbons and amino acids may also be in comets. Because
of their low mass, comets cannot become spherical under their own gravity, and will
thus have irregular shapes.

HUH!  Ice, (to supply water), amino acids (important ingredient in Sagan's 'cosmic soup' )
carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia,  a variety of organic
compounds...
everything a new planet would need to combine and allow LIFE
to form!

See Henry.  Your curiosity is already bringing you to see how the earth and life were
formed 4 1/2 billion years ago.

Yes I do.  It's the best theory SCIENCE has to offer.
Do you have a competing theory?  I mean a serious competition theory... one that doesn't require
the belief in MAGIC or MIRACLES or ghosts, demons, spirits, etc?

So your belief in a theory constitutes a fact in your mind?  Sounds like a organized religion.  Belief = Faith.

There are no absolutes in either.

That about sums it up, only difference is a different creator
