When did an Atheist leftist like box all a sudden care about the Catholic church and its pope, wasn't box blasting the church just a few months ago along with his leftist friends

I appreciate any world leader who works to make the world a better place.  Since Pope Francis
took office, he's often worked for the poor, the oppressed and those in need. (Kinda the opposite
of the Republican Party).

Catholics in Alliance For The Common Good... DUMP RUSH!

The group Catholics in Alliance For The Common Good has a petition that denounces Limbaugh and
demands an apology.
Quoted Text

We are disturbed by Rush Limbaugh's incendiary comments last Wednesday, November 27th about
Pope Francis and are joining together with Catholics and other allies throughout the nation to support
the Holy Father. To call the Francis a proponent of "pure marxism" is both mean spirited and naive.
Francis's critique of unrestrained capitalism is in line with the Church's social teaching. His particular
criticism of "trickle down economics" strengthens what Church authorities have said for decades:
any economic system which deprives the poor of their dignity has no place within a just society.

" I find Pope Francis to be a breath of fresh air, Finally, there is a religious leader
among Christians who understands the true message of Christ. It just so happens that
the true message does not match up with what Republicans and Christian conservatives
have been selling for years.

The problem isn’t what the Pope is saying. The problem is that people like Rush Limbaugh
warp the Christian faith to give their cruel and barbaric views of the poor and needy moral
cover. It isn’t Pope Francis that is in the wrong. It is Rush Limbaugh who lacks basic
compassion for his fellow human beings.

It is good to see Catholics standing up with millions of other Americans who have already
taken a stand against Rush Limbaugh’s hate speech. Limbaugh is not only anti-poor,
anti-minority, and anti-woman. He is also anti-Catholic.

Manipulation of bigotry and hatred knows no limits when it comes to Rush Limbaugh’s
personal financial gain, but the pressure is growing from all corners of our society to
get the most listened to practitioner of hate speech in America off the air.

As more and more Americans wake up to the taxpayer funded offensiveness of Rush
Limbaugh, the dump Rush movement will only grow stronger.

If you are a Catholic and would like to add your name to the petition, you can do so
here.

Dump Rush

So you believe this pope was somehow different when it came to the last 5 popes, the Catholic church has been one of the biggest charities to date for decades yet that never stopped you or any other leftist from attacking them. It seems you flipped the minute the left wing sites had a change of heart because it had a political spin you could use.

Church and state are perfectly fine if the church shares box's political ideology.  If the Pope pushed for a global abortion initiative, box would vote for him for pres.

I "FLIPPED" when I read Pope Francis's views.  He is much different than his predecessors.  I
have hopes for this man to help change the outlook of much of the world.

My views on the rich haven't changed... My views on gays or on the poor or on atheists
haven't changed... but the views of this Pope, unlike others in my life time, are more in
agreement with mine.

Quoted Text
Since many of you do not belong to the Catholic Church
and others are non-believers, from the bottom of my heart I give this
silent blessing to each and every one of you, respecting the conscience
of each one of you but knowing that each one of you is a child of God.
Pope Francis I

In our ecclesiastical region there are
priests who don't baptize the children of single mothers because
they weren't conceived in the sanctity of marriage. These are
today's hypocrites. Those who clericalize the church. Those who
separate the people of God from salvation.

Pope Francis, on his predecessors:

We need to avoid the spiritual sickness of a church
that is wrapped up in its own world: when a church becomes
like this, it grows sick.

He can't change the world views.  Even if he did, that means people that share the Pope's views are going to run for govt office.  Which they can't do in America, because even if they do, you can't take your religious views into office, you have to leave them at the door.  Even if a majority share the Pope's views and a minority opposes them, you can't force the Pope's religious views onto the minority.  That would be mixing church and state again.  What a conundrum.lol
