You haven't been shopping for groceries lately have you, price of gas has doubled since 2009, and many companies have reduced the size/weight off their products and kept the price the same to hide cost increases. Holding interest rates down artificially has had a negative effect on peoples savings, 401k's, and bank accounts as well.

July 7, 2008—Crude oil prices at a new record of $147 per barrel.
The U.S. average price for regular gasoline climbs to an all-time high of $4.11

The price of gas didn.t stay that high for long did it. The price of gas has been going up ever since Obama was elected. Remember Obama saying that the cost of energy must necessarily rise under my energy program. First time he ever told the truth.

Shadow... saying it's so doesn't make it so.  The Price Of Gas Has Never Been Higher than Under
George Worst Bush, Summer 2008,
The FACTS Disagree with your statement:

Your graph just proved my point exactly. Under Bush it was a spike, under Obama $2.77 per gallon and has been over $4.00 and now it's $3.25 a gallon and hasn't come back down has it.

When did I suddenly become the board dictionary?
If you want to know the meaning of a word, look it up!

Excessive:
~  going beyond the usual, necessary, or proper limit or degree;
characterized by excess:
~ exceeding the normal or permitted extents or limits; immoderate; inordinate
~ Exceeding a normal, usual, reasonable, or proper limit.
~ going beyond the usual, necessary, or proper limit or degree; characterized by excess.
~ more than is necessary, normal, or desirable; immoderate

If you consider something 'excessive' then (in this case) it could be defined as
greed.
The concept would also continue with the other deadly sins:
wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony...
You could defend "gluttony, lust, pride, etc with the same lack of understanding.

If a guy eats one hamburger... is it excessive?
If he eats 10?
If he eats 100???

I wonder if this failure to grasp a concept is part of the general Right Wing, defense of
their "sins" as listed above.

The whole "selfishness" of the Right may be the reason that GREED IS GOOD in their
view.
Similarly:
Recently the Rabid Right has gotten into trouble defining RAPE... some see it as
a minor act.  Most of society sees it as a very serious crime.

just trying to determine your pope's and your view on excessive which leads to greed??? Everyone has greed....
how about hoarders? that's a version of greed...but because you don't think their sh!t has value it's not...

I have been to many classes and done many studies on the '7 sins' of mankind....and rich/wealthy are NOT one of them

greed is....and whether you think so or not...you are not any less greedier than anyone else regardless of 'stuff' or
money.....

ye shall be as gods and die as men.......

the determination of fair share and the rest of that fun rhetoric is subjective and arbitrary.....

you are mixing religion (which is really politics for mind control) and state.........

have fun with that

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Maybe in your backyard, but the national average price as of today is $3.22.

Under G Worst Bush, the highest average gas price in NY State was $4.39 per gallon.

The Pope is in big trouble.

He's breaking new ground.

He isn't following the Extremist Christian manifesto.

Pope Francis says Christians who act superior to others aren’t real Christians

Quoted Text
Last Wednesday, Pope Francis once again took aim at the Christian Right.  Christians
who act superior to everyone else aren’t true Christians. The holy father made the comments
as part of his explanation of the meaning of the Christmas story.

“In Christmas, God reveals himself not as one who stands above and who dominates the universe,
but as He who lowers himself. It means that to be like Him, we do not have to place ourselves
above the others, but come down, come down and serve them, become small among the small,
and poor among the poor.”
