The GOP Gender Gap

Quoted Text
"When the House Judiciary Committee passed a late-term abortion ban in June,
Republican leaders scrambled to find a female, media-savvy legislator to bring the legislation
to the floor. Their biggest problem: Not a single Republican woman was represented among
the committee's 23 Republican members. They eventually settled on Tennessee Rep. Marsha
Blackburn, who isn't on the Judiciary Committee."

"The episode underscored a growing problem that is worrying Republicans: Women are
badly underrepresented within their party in the Congress. Only eight percent of House
Republicans are women, and there are only four female Republican senators. Of the
long list of potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders, there's not a single woman."

National Journal
http://www.nationaljournal.com/politics/republicans-confront-lady-problems-in-congress-20130806

Just three Republican women in the freshman class of 2012, were sworn into the House alongside
17 female Democratic colleagues.

In 2013, there are 78 women in the House of Representatives:
59 are Democrats
19 are Republicans

In 2013, there are 20 women in the US Senate:
16 are Democrats
4 are Republicans

I always love that stat.  Republican women are at war with themselves.

Statist practice group think.  If a majority of women think like democrats, all women should think like democrats.  Gender tribalism.

Many GOP women oppose much of GOP policy on women's issues.

It is interesting how women that are not democrats do not exist in the eyes of democrats.  They are dead to them.

Ahhhh...The beauty of democracy...if you aren't part of the majority of a political party, you have no future in America.

IF it weren't for straw man, Cicero would have nothing to post at all!

Look up the GOP demographics.  The GOP is the party of Old White Men.  Of course
there are 'young', 'minority',
women also in the Republican party, but they are a dwindling number and just read all
the above posts about
the GOP war on women to know why.
Note: Cissy hates facts, so don't read the following post... it will just make you post
yet another Straw Man!
Gallup: 2012 election had the largest gender gap in recorded history
Quoted Text
The gender gap in the 2012 presidential election was the
largest since Gallup began tracking the metric in 1952, according to data
released by the polling firm on Friday.

President Obama won women by 12 percentage points, while Mitt Romney
won men by 8. That’s a 20-point gender gap, edging out the 1984 election
when Ronald Reagan defeated Democrat Walter Mondale in a landslide.
Reagan won both men and women in that election, but carried men by 28
points and women by only 10 – a disparity of 18 points.

2012 was the fifth straight election to feature a double-digit gender gap.

the politicizing of demographics divides and conquers...and both parties should be ashamed as should the voting public who accept
ear tickling and white washing....
this cartoon has a truth all it's own in the background...it's a slap at both parties and a poke at the voters

Yes, I'm beyond my prime, and I'm not a minority, but I do have a brain, so I usually vote Democrat!

Women are leaving the GOP in record numbers... and the "GOP War On Women" is the Reason!
