THE TC has her own personal agenda.....is getting paid $50K......in fact.....when a newly elected TC is seated.....the salary

should be lower....took Eunice how many years to earn $50K ????....

now the TC comes along ....had already asked for a raise......gets elected with the $50K.....then shirks a duty that is part of the
job description...

TC has no experience in what the law of the TC is.....has to learn the law.... dot i's ...cross t's...

The 21st century has nothing to do with what the TC did....the fact remains TC couldn't or wouldn't handle the minutes.

Suing the Town for a pittance was laughable....as stated .....investigate the fraudulent time sheets back in 2010...

BUT, with a professional steno taking the minutes of the TB meeting.....it can be assumed that every word is documented

and for a reason.....covering the REGIME's a$$$$es..and taking that info to another level....

Even recording the minutes would have its drawbacks....certain things can be deleted.....and then there is no FAIRNESS

Documented proof that this happened ......

Just sayin'

Patches,

we get it, you don't like the new clerk. But enough already, is pretty clear you have a personal gripe with her. There are much bigger issues, she is just the clerk. I bet you worked at the senior center didn't you?

I don't know what TH means but I am just pointing out that you really focus on the clerk and I don't think who is or isn't clerk really matters as long as they show up for their job.  About "concentraing on DVOR", I think its his role for his party to spend time here to iritate people into responding to him over and over rather than spending time on real issues. I've been reading this blog a long time and that's just my 2 sense on DVOR

Look....evidently it may irritate "WE" ....that I choose to make statements about what you say is my only focus.........just the fact
that someone shows up for a job doesn't exempt them from any comment...and maybe you are  a voter/resident talking???
wow.... no wonder  this Town is in so much trouble.....get elected, show up, collect wage....go home.....simple observation.
never thought of it that way.....Thanks.....had to jumpstart my brain with that one...

Everyone on this blog deserves the right to speak.....Former supervisor  was the main topic a few months ago...that was a personal
vendetta... what was said was a pathetic observation of what he was trying to accomplish....big deal  criticism over everything from
soup to nuts.,,

Now that that has all quieted down....supposed to remain silent???   everything is peachy dory ??? I don't think so....

Heard in the Donut Shop......TC embarrassed the Dems big time for her behavior re this steno....but, that remains silent
and insignificant  because of who she is???....she shows up????.....guess what.....a lot of people show up for their job and don't
shirk responsibilities ....

And Dvor.....enuf said..

I speak only for myself -- not anyone else.  Originally, I came on this website because I thought it might be interesting to actually discuss/debate issues.    Unfortunately, most of the posters are stuck in a 4th grade mentality that involves making up lies about and trash talking against anybody that a) is a Democrat, b) disagrees with them on even one issue and/or c) has the audacity to actually prove that they don't know what they are talking about.

So now, I just ignore the worst of the "nayboobs" and will only chat with reasonable and civil people who post on this website.

How could Rotterdam clerk spend so much for steno?

Re recent transcript costs incurred by the town of Rotterdam, thanks to newly elected Town Clerk Diane Marco [Feb. 16 Gazette].
It is my understanding that whenever anyone is hired to work at the town, their job description and salary are fi rst approved by the Town Board. How could Ms. Marco incur these expenses without Town Board approval? One could only guess why she would hire without any consideration of the board and probably should have known better, having been a previous Town Board member.
Furthermore, why would the cost be almost double the going rate for the stenographic service hired? [GOP Committeeman] Joe Vellano called the person who did the steno work, inquiring about her fees, and she said that her going rate is $4 per page. Why would Ms. Marco hire her for $8.25 per page? This $1,500 expense for a service that is basically what she was elected to do, is unacceptable.
The town clerk’s duties [regarding] the minutes are non-delegable. The supervisor should take proper action on handling this issue rather than just turning the other way and pretending it never happened.

It appears that Ms. Donovan is not the only one who is following this train of thought. Many folks....in and out of rotterdam are questioning (while laughing) at this latest tax raping charade. And this questioning crosses party lines.

Folks outside of rotterdam can NOT believe that the rotterdam taxpayers are allowing this, especially at a time when their town budget is in the crapper!!

Hey...where's that als $$$$?????
