and Saratoga Sweets has those Peppermint Pigs   ... a fine tradition for the family table at Christmas

Goes well with the rest of the government swine sitting at the table.

I was in Uncle Sam's last week, and they carry peppermint pigs...looks like they are a legitimate candy store in you eyes now, Ron.  Will you be going there now?

Cool - thanks, ordering some today!

Those peppermint pigs are the nastiest holiday tradition to come down the pike since fruitcake. It would take a small army or someone with an ungodly constitution to stomach one of those entire pigs in a calender year.

They aren't one of my favs either but some people like them so a store carries them. Most people prefer freshly made chocolate confections I imagine, where local residents who pay taxes actually are employed making them. That is why I personally support local businesses, so that my own community does not collapse further.

A fine operation too, that pays Albany property and sales tax. Great place for Albany residents to make sure their dollars go towards funding Albany local government and employing Albany county residents. They get beat in the regional "Best of" magazine voting by the Schenectady Store every year though. I can see why democraps would want to drive over there to help fund Albany county taxes, and try to "hurt" local businesses! LOL! They eat their own often and early so it is not unusual of them to bring their business out of county.

But there are tons of other people doing their buying in Schenectady; not to mention half of Schenectady that has any wealth have moved away due to crime and oppressive taxation here and probably mail and internet order products to be shipped out of state. It is nice to know when the local dollar is spent here, the money stays here to defray the taxes we all get slaughtered with.

If it were the last candy store left on the face of the earth, I would not go there as long as it is owned
by the current owner.

I go there all the time now and it's not the last candy store left standing.

We don't buy candy that often ... but when we do we go to Krause's and Saratoga Sweets.
