ok I get it about family loyalty--in fact owner has insulted me too--but he really is a nice guy AND TOTALLY GETS IT ABOUT COMMUNITY.  In days past I might have agreed with you but I never questioned the quality of his products.  Sorry DVOR--I would say spend your money where you want it's your business.  But I am a local Rotterdam business owner and own another business in the city, I would support local folks over others.

I don't define people by their politics.

I shop the best products, good service and fair prices in most cases.

My family and friends buy all of our candy at schenectady counties local candy store.

We buy our pastries from the place on lower broadway.....even though we, the taxpayers paid for their relocation and they are still tax exempt. But they offer a good product!

We supported the business previously mentioned for many years .. until the owner insulted my aunts when
he stopped at their house while campaigning.

Generally speaking, I prefer to support Rotterdam businesses first - then there are those businesses
located outside Rotterdam that are owned by Rotterdam residents that I support.
Then there are some instances where I support businesses located outside Rotterdam because they have
a connection either to the Polish-American community or to my extended family.   For example, there are
a few businesses in New Britain, CT that I make the effort to drive to and support because they are owned
by Polish-Americans and offer products not readily available in Rotterdam or the Capital District.
Oh  -- and my favorite Jewish Deli in Queens --- but I only go there about twice a year on the way to visit
some friends.

Probably because it has been run by the same Jewish family for about a century.

I reported the ALS fight at the agenda meeting on the ambulance thread...here's more.

ND found out that the City of Schenectady has for months been attempting to renew their sewer contract with the Town...and that FDG and BG failed
to notify other Board Members until now...and the City is now threatening to interrupy sewer service with a deadline now just days away...businesses
are frantic.

MM questioned a resolution authorizing the Supervisor to enter an agreement Schenectady County that basically seeks to protect the town from
total decision making control by the Metrokratz Cartel. ND immediately said that meant Ray Guillen..GP noted the "approvals" from...ahem...CHRIS
GARDNER and RAY GUILLEN...Griesemer said he didn't know anything about it. Resolution was tabled.

During the meeting, the Defect was spewing whispered profanities at ND...I told her take it easy, Lisa...she literally told Board Members "it isn't me,
it's her !". What a total ditz...not to mention infantile. After the meeting she started screaming at Diane Marco over who Diane should allow access
to the Senior Center...Diane was justifiably pissed...it's the good thing they parked in different parking lots!

Working together WORKS!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Oh yeah, one other thing...

FDG announced that there will be no more agenda meetings and only one Town Meeting each month, all year.

ND was stunned...in total disbelief that FDG would expect Board Members to discuss or act on an agenda that he apparently wants to just e-mail
to them before the meetings. FDG suggested...get this... that they could "call" if they had any questions or concerns! ND insisted that the right way
to determine the final agenda is by a meeting of the entire Board, the Town Attorney, and any other individuals necessary and relevant to that
agenda. I guess they don't think they already withhold enough information from ND, GP and, sometimes, MM.

If McGarry wants to be Super, he better take a class in business and working with the public --all of the public not just Reps and Cons

Why would you suggest that?  Don't you see how well the current administration, who said they were going to run the town like a business is doing?  It doesn't appear THEY are worrying about knowing how to run a business, or running the town like one.
