I find it hard to believe that the town clerk of the past multiple decades cant fill out grant applications by now and doesnt have a roster of employees on the town payroll.  this is simply a case of government inefficiency.  clean house and everyone has to learn everything all over again, who suffers the taxpayers.  Plans should be in place and guidelines should be set so that government jobs are virtually turn key.  step in and get to work.  Only in Rotterdam is there an issue even with office furniture!!!!!!!!     Did ST leave his chair for FDG -

She can barely put toothpaste on a toothbrush and you want her to fill out a form? Go get a marriage license
and have her fill it out for you, have her get you a fishing/hunting license or file a death certificate, and bring
your stopwatch! She usually has the typist do this stuff, except the death certificates.  Should any of you
have a family member die and the town clerk is gone for the day, the typist cannot fill out the death
certificate for you. There is no deputy town clerk/registrar for no apparent reason. I do not
understand how Eunice can make $50,000 per year.  Yup real customer service going on in that office.

The town clerk needs to shi+ or get off the pot....
I suppose if I got a handicapped tag from her without a doctor note, I would
have voted for her too.

She should have been retired and put out to pasture.  every time new candidates come into office they should trot her out like old timers day at Yankee Stadium and have her swear them in.  Honor her to the max but get her out to the starting rotation.  It is going to take years just to move her stuff out and update the town clerk position in thistown.  Thank you DEMS!!! Thank you DEMS for putting Del Gallo in office and keeping Eunice their.  You obviously have the best interest of the town foremost in your minds and i thank you!!!!   >

Eunie is probably a very nice person. But that is NOT what we are talking about here. This is NOT personal!  We are talking about a person in a position that she can't handle. Just go to a town board meeting and see for yourself. At one meeting they handed her the microphone and she put it up to her ear like it was a phone.

Embarrassing? You betcha! The dems seem to be infamous for endorsing people for an office that will totally embarrass them by their inabilities. I find it hard to fathom the idea that the dems are this stupid. I'm sorry, but I just can't put it any other way. It may not be politically correct in this day and age....but..... It is what it is!

BumbleBee - they put someone like Del Gallo in office so they can push their agenda, the dem machine is going to be pushing deals before del gallo has any idea what is going on.  watch metroplex sneak into rotterdam and start making deals!!! that will be the first sign.  The new IDA has to be watched very closely.

our little town is only a small piece of the puzzle....

Licensend ASSessor!!!!

Why cant this town ask the top three realtors in this town to go around and assess every home.  Wouldnt they have better ideas of real property values at a given time and repeat every five years.  Instead of some guy sitting in an office using google maps to look at properties. (I am just guessing and dont really know how surprise does his job - but i like google maps - it makes me feel like i am flying)

Anybody else get the mailer during last election with the image of Del Gallos home and assessed value?  must have been a pricey mailer....

the correct response in support is  "Bump"

let the real pros do it and bring it on every 5 years!

make the assessor a affordable part-time figure head to meet the lame state law
keep the town at 100% value

Use your imagination ... Think of areas zoned appropriately on the west side of town, then find the nearest stewarts across the street.

walMart would be a done-deal IF they are expanding, and right now I would be curious to know if they are. But the folks in those areas voted heavy for the democrat-liberal ticket so I guess they want that anyway. So I really don't care if they come or not. The people have spoken!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
