dont believe so -

but the clerk should be able to provide a list of people on the payroll or know where to find it to prevent the need in the first place for a FOIL

can you picture GP walking into Eunice's office and asking for something now....

A walmart supercenter proposal would be the last nail in the coffin for the dems. And probably the last time a dem would serve on thetown board for a very very long time.

It is the 'democratic unions' that would rally against it. They would get support for ALL the unions to keep walmart out!! The dems would place themselves in a no win situation!  So they had better tread lightly on this one if it should ever rear it's ugly head again!

And there may be just plain old talk about a supercenter right now. But until plans are actually submitted, there would be nothing to FOIL for.

The whole idea that there is some justification of keeping secrets from officials who are in the minority is a bizarre one and has no standing in law. Imagine if they did that in the Senate or Congress? OH MY GOD! i could see the national news now. But here, the people don't care because they have been born and raised Democrat and hate the republicans. that is what you call a dictatorship. And you people fell for it.

Wait.  I thought this kind of thing was a Rotterdam Town hall norm.  Didn't Godlewski do a lot of FOIL's because he wasn't being told anything?  I am not saying it is right, because it is not but to state it is a Dem thing is quit silly.

He foiled because he was a citizen and was not on the town board. When you are a member of the government you are allowed information, generally in detail. You see, this is why I am fearful the military has also been brainwashed by liberalism. Giantsfan, you make us very afraid if you are an officer in our military. You would be the type that reports to the Democrat president but not the Republican ala' Wes Clark. If our officer's cadre is using this line of reasoning, we are screwed. But I doubt that you are.

And Godlewski never brought an Article 78 hearing because he never had standing to do so...Parisi just might!

I believe Godlewski had foiled for info pertaining to Gar. I guess the brilliant one couldn't understand the concept that during the course of a legal action you cannot divulge information. In this case a lawsuit.

WTH are you talking about? The reps had TOTAL control of rotterdam. And while they were in control, the party clearly fell apart. From mertzie not getting endorsed for his 'sitting' position, to taking JS and pinning him against his own fellow rep, to supporting a taxing district, to endorsing 'no electable' people for office. And the stupidest thing they did, was put it all out there in the court of public opinion. They actually aired their dirty laundry out on the line for all to see and read!!!

Don't blame the 'people'! Blame the GOP for losing their way and making bad decisions. The conservative movement is looking for 'personal responsibility' among other things. So the GOP has got to stop acting out of the liberal socialists playbook, and look at themselves FIRST and stop blaming everyone else! IMHO

so if me being in the military has nothing to do with this board(as you pointed out on an earlier post)  why do you keep bringing it up?  I got it, you don't think I am in the military.  Good for you.

and as for who I would report to.  I serve a president I didn't vote for.  But I still serve.

I hear a lot of "vote them all out" "we need change" "this admin is a joke"  what exactly are you doing about it?  Besides flying off the handle on any little tidbit you are thrown.  where is any of your proof?  I mean cold hard facts?

Anybody seen this document?  Anyone know the date it was submitted?  Anyone?

I have not heard one good thing professionally about any of the board members from this forum.  Yet most of them still got elected.  why?  because the people voted them in maybe?  So if these elected officials are so bad the last ones must have really sucked.

that must not make you feel very good.  must frustrate you.  so what does the future hold for Rotterdam?  can it be fixed? don't fool yourselves that cleaning house will fix it.  or that indepentents can save the day.  Politics is politcs.  somebody has to pay the bills.
someone stated on an earlier post that the dem rep back and forth needs to stop.  well who stops first?  who is going to give ground?  are you willing to give ground?
if you have a problem with a crappy nieghbor do you continue to make it work or do you break down and try to get back at them.  even the little things.  you know it makes them mad when you park in front of their house so you do it.

Anyway, I am all over the place on this post.  basically stop bitching and come up with some legit solutions.  anyone can find things wrong.  it is coming up with the fix that is hard.

Here's a few fixes:

-Support Eunie's removal from her post, due to being unfit to serve.
-Hire back employees fired for no reason, although that will never happen so at least...
-Take away Mullally's $10K stipend, so that her salary is what it should be
-Either fire the assessor, or quit whining about his performance and stand behind him
-Remove the part-timer Michelle Golden from the Supervisor's Office...with Mullally's skills, two people should be enough!
-Respond appropriately to FOIL requests, according to the law - not your particular vengeful woes

How's that for a list so far, Sarge?  If throwing around "being in the military" is good enough for you, then it's good enough for me too!
