Heard that Parisi was at the meeting ~ even though he's no longer the chair of Rotterdam Reps.  Have not heard anything else.

I heard Parisi was not there. As you mentioned, he is no longer Rotterdam Chair and therefore no longer on their Executive Board...and it is my understanding that the meeting was limited to the E.B. and local elected Republicans. So I'm not sure why Peter Guidarelli was
there, but he was.

If Buchanan walked out of there as chair, Reps should immediately switch their registration to blank.  Tht also shows the Conservatives don't have any teeth either.  Any one who supported Buchanan not only needs to have their head examined but reveals what I have known for a long time--that the party is FINISHED.  Buchanan has taken the party down all alone.  What did those fools do last night--slap him on the wrists, give him a pep talk, hold hands and sing Kumbaya.  He needed more than a "come to Jesus" meeting--he needed to be removed and someone with brains should have taken the reins.  You have a lot to do to rebuild this party.

At this point the only one with any brains at the meeting was Guiderelli.

MT is right--this is shocking and worse than I thought as well.

How do you know and who told you PG was there?

I believe that there are some on the committee that would lose their jobs if buchannan was voted out. This is an intertwined political party....just like the rest of them. It is  pay to play one way or another.

As far as PG being there....he has no place at an EB meeting. It just makes one think it is even slimier than we thought.

So what happened at the meeting last night? Is Tom still chairman? If so, I think a lot of you owe him an apology for the lack of respect he's been getting!

Reports are that the meeting was held at Parisi's office.  He must have left it unlocked.

How is it that you were the first to know and report that Buchanan remains the Chair and that Guidarelli attended?  The newspapers
haven't reported on the meeting.  Were you at the meeting?

Maybe someone can't read, so quoting for their benefit.

Respect? They have to EARN respect. Running an empty slate, endorsing other parties over their own - that doesn't earn respect.

Mobile, Tom has earned my respect many times over. The committee endorsed candidates they believed shared the views of the members of the party. Would I have run candidates in races Tom left open? I'm not sure, I wasn't in his position. What I can say is that I understand completely why he'd want to channel that money into races that were proving to be contentious because certain individuals ran, not to win, but to shake things up. Long live the chairman--it is he who can lead us out of these desperate times!!!

Well said greenlantern. I think a lot of people here just want to complain either because of personnal vendettas or just because they want to play monday-morning-quarterback. It's real easy to criticize the decisions others make when you don't have to make decisions too. I'm with greenlantern Tom's our man!
