Spidey et al--this is getting blown up wayyyyyyyy out of proportion. Although Brad has acted like an ingrate to KR, he is NOT guilty of some HUGE violation of campaign law. Although I find his manners atrocious and he has been a bit of a "pissant," (to use his words), to me, he is not Boss Tweed. Brad was a small-time candidate. He learned his lessons getting his feet wet. It will be hard for him to get footing again to mount another campaign especially in Saratoga. People there rely on the locals. Bobby D'Andrea, Jimmy Tedisco all known entities.
alleykat and MT, the date of payments related to campaign activities matters none. What matters here, is that payments were made from a typical politician under the table to a supporter. These payments were made with the candidate's personal funds, leaving no recourse for the taxpayer to be aware of them.
Remember Joe Bruno? He received payouts too...and I'm sure he made them. This is no different.
It's politics as usual...and through Brad's own admission, he clarified for us that he, a candidate WITH an established campaign account, paid with PERSONAL FUNDS a campaign helper, and never bothered to tell anyone.
I acknowledge that Kelly spent her own money in gasoline driving across the county supporting many different candidates, including me. I appreciated what she did, much of her own offering. I thought it appropriate to express my gratitude.
Oh, he certainly can. What he can't do is make the above admission, then have it be ignored by supporters of the NNTP that choose to do so.

Kelly - While I support most of what you are saying, I must say that your support of some people in this last election such as Eunice and not Lynn Fiorillo is disappointing. While you may be "good" friends with that particular Dem, you really should have done more home- work before you put in your 100% of support for her.
I have said in my past posts that the NNTP were a little too rogue for me. I am sorry to the people in the NNTP, I didn't get it then and I just don't get it now. While I believe that no new taxes would be wonderful, I have to believe that it a fantasy, especially when the state doesn't have two nickles to rub together.
Also, Mr. Santabarbaras choice of turning into a Democrat may not last. I guess we will see.
