Decent people have stepped up in the past.  Carolina Lazzari would be one of them.  She has been battered and bruised over the years but still is the one who emerges as the perfect candidate to lead her party.

Lead her party? Didn't she leave her party after her last election attempt?

Sal ~ the idiot ~ quit with all the "I'm Italian and don't speaka so well over here" if that's the case you're a disgrace to all the Italians who came over here, worked hard, went to night school in Schenectady where they offered english classes.  Your claim to help the common man and Fran is one of them is a joke too ~ he's loaded!  The rich get richer ~ you're a joke.

If you are not Deb why does your email address say debcatalfamo@yahoo for this identity and driitano@hotmail.com for "Cal?" If you have TWO identities then how many do all the other Democrats have for crying out loud?????

Wow. I seem to remember someone else being chastised and criticized for MONTHS over something similar.  You mean you can actually see someone's email address as a user? Wow. Shocker. GB, I hope you're not raked over the coals for doing this - like that other person.

lol

Go to your own profile. Click on "Send an email" in the lower right corner. I didn't tell her to stick her real name on there on BOTH profiles! There is no secret here when you put your own email address on your member profile. Did you allow users to see YOUR EMAIL??? If you did then it is nobody's fault but your own that everyone knows who you are.

Michael ~ "stuck on the sign with the guy"?  that should do great for your no new tax party morale, there is a rare thing called loyalty ~ very few understand it ~ even less can live it!  I see the NNTP falling fast.

It was a joke, dude.  Take a deep breath.

Congrats to Michael O'C! According to the latest results you won a convincing victory over the dead ender candidate. Yes, Stan "The Man" will still be on the IND/WFP lines? That should be good for 15 votes.

Mikey ~ No deep breath needed, I don't have a dog in this fight.  Thought you guys were on the right track early on, rethinking my earlier analysis.

I am truly enjoying watching this all unfold and yes ~ Mike ~ politicians are always out for number one and from what I see you're shaping up to be a fine politician.

So ~ take a deep breath and keep us entertained.

GB AKA Joe Suhrada
That was totally UNETHICAL of you.  Is that how you will govern? Very disappointing to those who vote in Rotterdam.  Are these tricks you bring to the table or have learned from your idol Howdy Doody who I do not
think can win the Republican elections.

Your behavior gives a new definition to the term "Swine Flu."  BTW only one was me--  Super Sleuth you are not.

And follow the blog--it was not I who questioned your faith tradition or your residence it was Salvatore.  I don't care what you do or where you live.

Cal ~ HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!  Nobody EVER accused Surhada of being ethical!  He's a muslim for cyring outloud!  Who do you think was Tom and Jerry's mentor?  At least that's what Sal told us ~

As for your history in Rotterdam politics ~ by January you'll be the biggest hypocrite by cheering on the Dems for the very thing you attack the Republicans for ~ mark my words.  Question is ~ will you remember in November?

Though I don't agree with much of what is said around here ~ I would still buy your husband's bread.  Nothing beat the smell of the bakery at 8:30 in the morning.

Exactly! That is why voting row "F" is the way to go. The dems/reps/cons are one in the same. Like I posted before 'somewhere' (I never remember where I posted what), if ya vote in the reps, things will stay as they are. If ya vote in the dems, rotterdam will be in a heap of sh*t!

However, if ya vote the NNTP........
Oconner has a vision and a plan and a direction. Beholden to no one but the taxpayers.
Mcgarry is honest and focused with a vision and plan, also beholden to no one but the taxpayers.
Mertz has always had a vision and a desire to do what was best for the taxpayers, also beholden to no one but the taxpayers. That was why the reps gave him the boot!
And Littlefield is probably the only REAL conservative, if elected, to sit on the county leg.
IMHO

Felipe,

I'm disappointed to hear that you are buying into the partisan rhetoric that is being fomented on this site from both sides of the aisle.  I will tell you, though, that during my campaign, I have seen a side of human nature that I never wanted to witness.  I question why candidates disparage others and in the process demean themselves.

Did you know that my neighbors in Duanesburg received an anonymous attack ad about me on the day before the Primary Election?  Is the debate of ideas so much of a threat to those who vy for political office and their handlers that they must resort to ruthless and deceiptful tactics?  Or are they devoid of principle, ideas, and character?  Shame.

I am running to offer to the residents of Schenectady County an alternative to the failed two party system.  I don't seek power, self-enrichment, retribution and revenge or a life-long career in politics.  I simply want to give a voice to the oppressed taxpaying residents who go to work each day (perhaps multiple jobs), pay their bills, raise their families, practice their faith, and obey the laws of the land.  They are too busy with their lives to pay attention and to fight for causes that are right.  So, I will fight for them!

If the residents elect me to represent them, I will do so with devotion to their interests and a genuine desire to improve our community.  As I am unbeholden to any political party bosses and have neither time nor tolerance for their antics, I will not lose sight of the responsibilities of the office and never forget that I am a representative of the people who elected me to serve.

I hope that you will continue to consider those of us who want only to perfom the peoples' work without reward or favor.

And, to Michael, congratulations on your well-deserved election victory!

I agree.  Carolina is one of the most decent people who I have known and who honorably served
her constituents.  Her respectful and thoughtful manner are sorely missed in the county government.
