It is beginning to appear  that it is ok to criticize McCain's platform but it isn't ok to criticize Obama's. And that if someone is criticizing Obama's platform, it can only be based on race? Perhaps some are correct. Perhaps there are people out there that are basing their choice on race only.

I choose to believe the opposite. I believe that there are smart, informed, intelligent American people who love this country and will vote for the candidate that will lead this country in the right direction based on their platform.

Come on bum, you know what I mean.  Im not referring to you.  Your well spoken and can back up your point of view.  But the race thing is very much an issue.  The ignorant
propaganda that emphasizes his middle name and trying to scare people is what Im talking about.  Is the country really going to change regardless of who wins, obviously not.
Im just saying the current way of doing things hasn't really been working well, why not try something different.  Like I said I respect others positions, it's just the scare tactics
of trying to portray Obama as having ties to terrorism etc. is ignorant to say the least.

Democrats target voters who think race is an issue

Story Highlights
Union leader says some white members won't vote for Obama because of race
Mailings, phone calls, face-to-face meetings rebut anti-Obama rumors
AFL-CIO campaign will include 70 million phone calls to households in key areas
Dems see economy helping sway voters who felt race was an issue
By John King
CNN Chief National Correspondent

COLUMBUS, Ohio (CNN) -- There are phone calls from Democratic and labor union phone banks.

Union households get glossy mailings with white working families offering testimonials to Barack Obama.

Literature is handed out at union halls and during shift changes at union plants and factories.

But sometimes, Gerry McEntee says, it takes a blunt face-to-face encounter to deal with those who say they can't support the Democratic presidential nominee because of the color of his skin.

McEntee is president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and a leader in the AFL-CIO's $200 million 2008 election program. Speaking at a labor rally in Ohio recently, his frustration about the reluctance, or refusal, of some white union members to support Obama spilled into the open.

"When it gets real bad, and they never -- with this one -- look you in the eye, 'Well, I can't vote for him,' " McEntee told the diverse union audience. "This doesn't even come out in code -- it comes out like this: 'I can't vote for him because he is a black man. He's not one of us.' Well, sisters and brothers, when you hear that, you know what you ought to say? This is what I say: 'That is bull----! That is total, absolute bull----!' " Watch how Democrats are addressing the race issue in Ohio »

The AFL-CIO says its campaign will include 70 million phone calls to union households in key presidential and congressional battleground areas, as well as 25 million mail pieces.

Some of those rebut persistent but false rumors that Obama isn't a Christian, or wasn't born in the United States -- or was sworn in to the U.S. Senate with his hand on a Quran, not a Bible. (The mailing shows Obama being sworn in by Vice President Cheney, his hand on a Bible.)

That those rumors persist so close to Election Day frustrates the Obama campaign and its allies.

"You go and you talk to a member -- I've talked to some -- 'Do you support Barack Obama? You know his record, his record is good for working men and women,"' McEntee relates.

The member might answer, "'Gerry, I know, I like you, but he's a Muslim. Barack Obama is a Muslim,' " McEntee says. "But he's not even a Muslim; he's a Christian!"

Democrats across Ohio and other key battleground states increasingly voice confidence the troubling economic news is boosting Obama's support in the white, working-class areas where the impact of the race issue worries them most.

But they also concede much of this support is soft -- more a rejection of Republican economic policies than a warm embrace of Obama. That's one of the reasons labor unions are dedicating substantial resources to targeting voters for whom race is or could be an issue.

McEntee drew laughter when he framed the stakes this way:

"We have got to seize this opportunity, seize this opportunity like never before, never before. And we have got to make so sure, so sure, that the day after election -- now, this is one message that you could hear the day after election, one of them: 'All labor leaders, to all labor leaders to report to Yankee Stadium. We are putting you on a ship to go to Guantanamo.' "

"I will probably be one of the first people on that ship. I don't want to hear that message," he said.

"The other message that you can hear if you work like hell, and you do the job that you can, you will hear the message that America is free again, America is free and free at last. It is up to you."

Working people deserve a share of the wealth
First published in print: Wednesday, October 15, 2008

I want Barack Obama and the campaign to do better at neutralizing the distorted John McCain accusations that Sen. Obama will raise your taxes.

Also, Sen. Obama must explain why the tax system and the presidential policies of the last eight years have not helped the people and jobs, but rather have caused more loss of jobs to foreign countries. He must explain why these only enriched the big corporations and the wealthy and did not help the middle and lower classes — because the big corporations and many of the wealthy do not pay enough taxes to help the general prosperity of the people.

The big corporations and many of the wealthy are not helping to support the country but are only working to grow their own wealth. They are also exploiting the low-wage workers of foreign countries who do not have the power to fight for clean air and water or the environment.

Sen. Obama should say that the American wealth is extremely top-heavy and must be redistributed to give the working people a fair share of the wealth of our nation.

It is absolutly mind blowing that people would consider electing another republican that is basically the same as what we have had for the past 8 years.

As far as voting for the presidency, I don't really think that we're looking at that much of a difference between the two candidates on many issues.  Personally, I think that things were fine for much of the past 8 years.  It's really the last 2 years that I look at as when things have gone horribly wrong as far as costs / freedoms.

I find Obama to be extemely refreshing and exciting.

This in itself scares me to a point.  Almost God-like?

When ignorant, white, republican,  suburbanites (basically everybody on this sight) post bullsh*t like these youtube videos it's very sad and it's just another reminder of how racist people are.

Please, let's not paint with such a wide brush.  Each person is different.  Yes, people who travel the same circles have some things in common.  That's not uncommon no matter where you go.  Calling these people (the people here or of groups such as you're referencing) "ignorant, white, republican,  suburbanites) is making as much a racist point as the point that you are trying to make yourself.

Quoted from righteous
The world is much bigger than Rotterdam NY and when you take prejudice, ignorant people and allow them to "mix it up" on sights like this it's scarey.

So, you think that the First Amendment doesn't apply to this site?  As I see it, anyone who has an opinion, no matter what it is, are invited to share in this.  There's nothing saying that people with differing opinions can't take part.  The fact is, those who state that they are being repressed from their freedom of speech are the ones that are usually sitting back not saying anything, ESPECIALLY in this type of forum where everybody can say what they want, whether they want to say it under their own name or not.

Quoted from righteous
And please don't try and say "it's not about race"... bullsh*t.. you know that the majority of the people that blog here tell racist jokes, make racist comments and support racist politicians.

And this is the type of comment that is made by someone who has nothing to back up the fact that nothing "racist" is actually being said.  When is it that the definition of "racial" was changed to be the same as "racist?"  Did I miss that memo?

For example, that racist psychopath Rhinesmith was defended on this web
site.  Last year she publicaly labeled a political rival a fat N word.  Anyone that supports her is therefore racist, because her platform is based on personal ideals and beliefs.

Well, that being said, there are things that I agree with some people on, and other things that I don't agree with them on.  Just because you agree with one person on one thing, doesn't mean that you agree with them on all things, does it?  Or does it mean that they're wrong on everything that they don't state line by line, word for word that is said by someone else?  No, in fact, it's because people are allowed to disagree that this nation is as good as it is, no matter the difficult time that we're going through right now.  My support for Ms. Rhinesmith goes to her on the fact that she is for smaller government, less patronage jobs, and therefore, in the end, less coming out of my pocket to the people who "serve" me.  Now, since I agree with her on this point, does that make me a racist?  I think not, and think that you should really think over your comments.  Just remember, people have died to give EVERYONE the right to free speech.  That also gives many the right to be wrong.

"Trickle-Up" Poverty: The New
Economics of Barack Obama

The liberal media talking heads are already proclaiming that a Barack Obama victory will be revolutionary. Revolutionary is right. The last great revolution took place in Russia. Within a year of the Russian Revolution in 1917, the communist leader Lenin brought the Russians change they could believe in. He created an economic system in which:

All industry was nationalized and strict centralized management was introduced.
Obligatory labor duty was imposed onto "non-working classes" or people who had money. Food was rationed and centrally distributed.
Military-like control of railroads was introduced.
Private enterprise became illegal.
After Stalin took over the Soviet Union, he:

Imposed a state-run system of socialized medicine
Formed a strict, centralized cultural administration and ideological control system – in other words, reeducation.
There is every reason to believe that some kind of socialist revolution will occur under B.O. Bush has already imposed socialism on the banks, and Obama promises to do more of the same. The Soviets put people with money to work in factories.

Under Obama, the business owners in this country who drive the economy will be put to work by being forced to pay crushing taxes that will fund gold-plated healthcare for illegal aliens and welfare cases. Private enterprise may not actually be made illegal, but so many businesses will die under an Obama administration that the same goal will be accomplished. Instead of trickle-down economics, we’ll have trickle-up poverty.

We already know Obama will impose socialized medicine – that is a given. And reeducation will come in the form of the Fairness Doctrine, which Nancy Pelosi will push through the Congress by stressing the need to foster unity and avoid destabilizing the markets with hurtful and unbalanced commentary. This is what the future holds under B.O.

Colin Powell endorses Obama

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
NEW: Obama thanks Powell, tells him he wants his advice, aide says
Ex-Secretary of State Colin Powell voting for Barack Obama
Powell makes announcement on "Meet the Press" Sunday
John McCain says announcement does not come as a surprise

(CNN) -- Former Secretary of State Colin Powell announced Sunday that he will be voting for Sen. Barack Obama, citing the Democrat's "ability to inspire" and the "inclusive nature of his campaign."

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says he is voting for Barack Obama.

"I think he is a transformational figure, he is a new generation coming onto the world stage, onto the American stage, and for that reason I'll be voting for Sen. Barack Obama," Powell said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Powell said he was concerned about what he characterized as a recent negative turn of Republican candidate Sen. John McCain's campaign, such as the campaign's attempts to tie Obama to former 1960s radical Bill Ayers.

"I think that's inappropriate. I understand what politics is about -- I know how you can go after one another, and that's good. But I think this goes too far, and I think it has made the McCain campaign look a little narrow. It's not what the American people are looking for," he said.

Powell, a retired U.S. general and a Republican, was once seen as a possible presidential candidate himself.

Powell said he has some concerns about the direction of the Republican Party, adding that it has "moved more to the right than I would like to see it." Read a transcript of Powell's remarks

In regard to the financial crisis, which Powell called the candidates' "final exam," Powell said McCain appeared unsteady in dealing with it, while Obama had excelled in handling the situation.

"Obama displayed a steadiness, an intellectual curiosity, a depth of knowledge," Powell said.  Watch what Powell says about Obama »

"He has met the standard of being a successful president, being an exceptional president," he said.

During the campaign, Powell has met with both candidates and said he has a lot of respect for McCain. He said Sunday that he thinks both candidates are qualified to be president.

"It isn't easy for me to disappoint Sen. McCain in the way that I have this morning, and I regret that," Powell said.

Speaking on Fox News Sunday, McCain said he respects and admires Powell, and the announcement "doesn't come as a surprise."

"I'm also very pleased to have the endorsement of four former secretaries of state -- Secretaries [Henry] Kissinger, [James] Baker, [Lawrence] Eagleburger, and [Alexander] Haig -- and I'm proud to have the endorsement of well over 200 retired Army generals and admirals," McCain said.

Obama called Powell on Sunday and thanked him for his endorsement, communications director Robert Gibbs said.

In their 10-minute conversation, Obama said he looked forward to taking advantage of Powell's advice in the next two weeks and hopefully over the next four years, Gibbs said.

Powell served as Secretary of State under President Bush from 2001 to 2005.

The possibility of a Powell endorsement has been rumored for several months.

On August 13, Powell's office denied a report on Fox News by commentator Bill Kristol that Powell had decided to publicly back Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

Powell himself brushed off queries on any potential presidential nod but told ABC News in August that he would not be going to Denver, Colorado, for the convention.

Back in February, Powell told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that he was weighing an endorsement of a Democratic or independent candidate.

Powell has offered praise for Obama, calling him an "exciting person on the political stage."

"He has energized a lot of people in America," said Powell. "He has energized a lot of people around the world. And so I think he is worth listening to and seeing what he stands for."

The former general, who has largely steered clear of politics since leaving the Bush administration, noted that the next president will need to work to restore America's standing in the world.

Powell gave the keynote address at the Republican National Convention in support of George W. Bush in 2000.

Powell said Sunday that he has no plans to campaign for Obama.

Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret) asked Obama

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, "As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want
to be perceived as taking sides, Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world
to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys

Oppose Obama on issues if you must, but not because of his race

Some people can’t accept the fact that Obama may become president because of their deep-seated prejudices. These people have been raised in an environment of hate. They fear what they don’t know or what they don’t understand. They can’t comprehend that like them, Obama has fears, feels pain and wants the best for his family and country.
Some may have never had a friend from a different race; not the co-worker they talk to on their job, but a best friend — someone they’ve confided in, cried with, laughed with, shared their deepest, darkest secrets with. They have anxiety over an Obama win because of all of the fallacies that have been handed down from generation to generation. They see people of different races as less than American.
Palin said it herself, that Obama “doesn’t see America like you or I do.” Her mostly white audience understood what she was saying.
Someone should remind these people that this country was built by people of all different races, nationalities and religions. Obama will never win these people over, the hate runs through them like poison. I’m not talking about people who will vote for McCain because they disagree with Obama’s policies. I’m talking about people who wouldn’t even consider voting for him because of race.
The only thing we can do is feel pity for them and hope that one day they will realize how wrong they are.

Jack Wheeler is a brilliant man who was the author of Reagan's strategy to break the back of the Soviet Union with the star wars race and expose their inner weakness.  For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting, well structured, and informative.  He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on global trends and the future, etc.  He is in semi-retirement now. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything.  He is also a somewhat well-known mountain climber and adventurer.

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit.  No résumé, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, no balls, nothing but abstract empty rhetoric devoid of real substance.

He has no real identity.  He is half-white, which he rejects.  The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya.  Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.

What he isn't, not a genetic drop of, is "African-American," the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships.  He hasn't a single ancestor who was a slave.  Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners.  Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.

Let that sink in:  Obambi is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners.  Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.

It's something Hillary doesn't understand - how some complete neophyte came out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her.  Obamamania is beyond politics and reason.  It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the evil of being human to the evil of being white.

Thus Obambi has become the white liberals' Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White.  There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it.  The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him:  Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.

Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.

Obama is a Zero.  There is nothing really there.  O=Zero.

That his candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American.
