ROTTERDAM TREE LIGHTING
    ROTTERDAM — The town of Rotterdam will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the Town Hall.
    The Schalmont and Mohonasen Middle School choirs will perform holiday carols. There will also be a barrel for Toys for Tots donations.

ST. GABRIEL’S CRAFT FAIR
    ROTTERDAM — St. Gabriel’s Women’s Club will sponsor its 30th annual Holiday Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Gabriel’s School Hall, 3040 Hamburg St. (Route 146).
    The craft fair will feature 72 crafters, food, raffles and the popular Cookie Walk.

ROTTERDAM — The Town of Rotterdam will hold its 19th annual Pearl Harbor Day service at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the Rotterdam Town Hall, 1100 Sunrise Blvd.


BROOKS BARBECUE
    ROTTERDAM — Rotterdam United Methodist Church, Curry Road and Helderberg Avenue, will hold a Brooks chicken barbecue from 3:30 p.m. until sold out on Saturday, Dec. 8.
    The cost is $10 for an adult dinner, $6 for a child’s dinner and $6 for a half-chicken. Service is drivethrough only.

CHICKEN AND BISCUITS
    ROTTERDAM — The Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post 1895, 609 Draper Ave., will host a chicken and biscuit dinner from 1 to 6 p.m. today.
    The cost is $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $5 for children 12 and under. Take-outs will be available.



LITTLE LEAGUE SIGNUPS
    ROTTERDAM — The Schenectady JC Little League has rescheduled its 2013 season registration for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rotterdam Boys and Girls Club, Curry Road.

TAKE-OUT FISH DINNER
    ROTTERDAM — The Schonowe Ladies Auxiliary of Rotterdam District No. 7 will host a take-out-only fish dinner from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Schonowe Fire House, 112 Gordon Road.
    The cost is $8 for adults; $5 for children 4-10; and free for 3 and under.

BENEFIT FOR TOT
    ROTTERDMA — A ziti and meatball dinner to benefi t Ayven Trestick and her family will be held Saturday at the Rotterdam Elks Club, 1152 Curry Road, Rotterdam.
    Ayven, who will turn 2 later this year, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma late last year. The rare and aggressive cancer is generally found in children. Ayven is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
    The fundraiser will be held from noon until 7 p.m.
    Admission is $10 per person, and eat-in or take-out meals will be available.

HISTORY OF SITE TRACED
    ROTTERDAM JUNCTION — Tricia Shaw, education coordinator at Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site, will present research on the interconnections between Schenectady and Schoharie families with Fort Hunter and Queen Anne’s Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Mabee Farm Historic Site’s George Franchere Education Center, 1100 Main St.
    The program will trace the 300-year history of one acre in particular that passed through five different families and saw the construction of Fort Hunter, the building of the Erie Canal, a 19th century tenant farm and a multitude of flooding disasters, including Hurricane Irene.
    The admission is $5 for adults and free to Schenectady County Historical Society members.

DYNGUS DAY CELEBRATED
    ROTTERDAM — The Casimir Pulaski Society will hold its annual Dyngus Day celebration from noon to 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the Rotterdam Elk’s Lodge 2157, 1152 Curry Road.
    Dyngus Day is a Polish custom that commemorates Poland’s conversion to Christianity and the baptism of Prince Mieszko. The event will feature Polish foods, dancing, souvenirs, and performances by two Polish-style polka bands.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
    ROTTERDAM — The town of Rotterdam’s annual Memorial Day parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Mohonasen High School and end at Rotterdam Town Hall on Sunrise Boulevard.
    The town’s annual Memorial Day service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 27, at the Rotterdam Town Hall monument.

JOIN TOGETHER ON July 27th, 2013 from 3 pm to 7pm at the Grounds of MOHONASEN HIGH SCHOOL.
TICKETS ARE READY FOR SALE $35/Person (Adults Only).  Attached to this email (or notice) is a Reservation Form with more information about the event.  This is the plan:

3:00 Meet & Greet with Sign In at Your Class Table.  Bring lawn chairs, sun screen, coolers (no alcoholic beverages allowed).  We will have bottled water on ice available. Bring pictures to share with your classmates from your High School Years.

4:00 – 5:00 DINOSAUR BAR-B-QUE will be cooking on-site with a choice of two BBQ meats (BBQ Bone-In Chicken Quarter and BBQ Salmon), 3 Homemade Sides & Cornbread

5:00 – 7:00 LIVE MUSIC OF THE 50’S AND 60’S HITS WE LOVED
