SCHENECTADY — The city's phone system is back up and running, with all lines working, Schenectady police said this evening.

Tuesday night around 9:30, the phone system that services the Police Department, Fire Department and Bureau of Services began experiencing technical difficulties, police said.

The police, fire and services departments weren't able to receive incoming calls or place outgoing calls on non-emergency lines.


We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

    Glad to hear the phone lines are back up for the Police and Fire departments.  Also glad to hear it was only non-emergency lines that were down..
