I am repeating here what I have said to them in the past -- If you use taxpayer money to fund a mailing, you LOST my vote.
Mailing received by people today --- at taxpayer expense
Let's see what happens in that signature box now.

How about providing details of what the mailing was so we can understand? and was DVOR's post about business/government related mailings or mailings other than business/government related? How about the whole pic before you start your troll accusations!
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
so mc1 we can all assume that you are supportive of these so called 'wasted' taxes since you are AGAIN trying to troll someone who is against it.
if amedore was a dem you'd be all over this like flies on sh!t!!!
and your post is regarding mr. amedore RIGHT???
so if mr. amedore was going to run for mayor of schenectady....you'd be spewing all kinds of hatred for him.....yes?
idiot

Let's see how fast Amedore's name is removed from the "signature"

Seriously? You really searched back FOUR YEARS to find a single sentence he wrote? You're worse than a troll, you're a stalker!
Ridiculous. You should be locked up.

Notice how the McTroll doesn't respond to legitimate questions in this posting, but is still trolling other threads... Likely doesn't have to research any DVOR statements...probably has them all saved, spreadsheeted, categorized and fully searchable

He/she probably taped them to the wall of a hidden room in his/her house like one of the unsubs on Criminals Minds.
As for the mailing, it was not a political campaign piece cloaked as official business that arrived weeks before Election Day. It is actually a piece inviting folks to attend a free community training to combat the heroin epidemic.
My family and I have known Senator Amedore and his family for many years. He is a good man from a great family. His best quality is that there is 100% integrity between the private man and the business man and the elected public official. He doesn't put on one mask for the public and another one at home. And he says what he means and means what he says. I certainly think that he has the potential to be a very good state legislator. The only other 2 state legislators that we have had that I can say something similar about are Clark Wemple and Jim Tedisco.

Sorry if I don't spend every moment of my time on here, sorry if I don't go to every single section and read every single thread.
So the mailing, like referenced above, had to do with the heroin issue.
But WHY does it have to be mailings at taxpayer expense?
They couldn't put in a press release in the local newspapers which would be at no expense?
I would bet that placing an ad in the newspapers, the same size of the mailing, would be at much lower expense than the printing of all those glossy's and the postage.
Can't an announcement be made via local news which announces meetings of many kinds.
Can't it be done at no expense on that face book, that twitter, etc.
Xerox copies on cheap copy paper sent home with students to give to their parents (well, guess most kids don't remember to give stuff to parents). Maybe an e-mail from the schools to parents?
Surely there must be constituents who are on an e-mail list of legislators.
I'm just pointing out DV's hypocrisy, the lies. Just like he stated back 4 or 5 years ago that county taxes were lower than in the 1970's, I challenged him to provide evidence and after all these years he has not produced one shred of evidence. Of course that claim about county taxes was just another of his big fat lies, the fairy tales. REAL property taxpayers know full well that county taxes many times higher than in the 1970's.
Personally I don't remember any "campaign mailers" paid for by the senate or assembly, I've always seen "paid for by friends of......" "paid for by Xxxx Party"
Can someone please tell me why we pay to have an F'EN holiday card sent out by Mr.Santabarbara? or how about the crap from Hugh Farley listing the goings on...? or the Amedore mailers?
Do they NOT LISTEN? they are waaaaaay to busy telling the media what to cover about themselves to leave room for the plebs......
every newspaper should have 2 pages worth of letters to the editors regarding our illustrious elected.....
And DV said on Sept 25, 2010 - doubtful he's talking about election campaign mailers because (see red) he wrote "IF they are elected," which refers to sending mailings out at taxpayer expense while they hold office.
We should have all state legislator candidates sign an oath .. promising to never use tax payer funded mailers if they are elected.
I noticed that the state has closed several rest areas along I-88, I-81, and I-87 because they don't have the funds to maintain or fix them. One has a septic system which failed in July. I am sure that those $63,000 spent on useless mailings could have fixed the septic sytem or be better spent back in taxpayers' pockets.
So, since DV claimed he would NEVER vote for someone who uses taxpayer money for mailings, which is EXACTLY what Amedore did with the mailing this week, then DV should be taking down his line about Amedore for Senate 2016, right? After all, DV's VERY OWN WORDS were he would NEVER vote for someone who uses TAXPAYER MONEY for mailings and Amedore used taxpayer money for mailing. Lies. Fairy tales. Hypocrite.

The differences between this mailer and the others are: 1) not mailed during the political campaign season - doesn't have any partisan references at all 2) not filled with a bunch of self-promoting fluff - you know the mailers with a bunch of selfies and other self-promoting crap that other politicians use state fund to mail us. 3) not a Christmas/Holiday card -- politicians should use their own funds to pay for cards like that 4) sole purpose of the mailer appears to be an invitation to residents to attend an informative public event about a major issue/concern (in this case - heroine epidemic)
Finally - McTroll is so immature and insane that he/she can't discuss ANY THING without making it a personal attack on me. My opinion on this or any other issue is just one person's opinion. This venue could be more interesting, informative and fun -- if people stuck to the actual issues/topics and kept the personal stuff out.

So you've basically stated and verified that your attack was not justified, that the mailing was legitimate and government business related, that it is outside the purview of DVOR's position. As I thought, you post thinking others are not smart enough to read through your attacks and look for the truth.

Notice back in 2010, you did NOT say, "...never use...." and then add the words "....EXCEPT ...." and include conditions.
You simply said "NEVER."
Now I present your hypocrisy, your lies showing that you ARE supporting the use of taxpayer money for mailings which is in direct contradiction to what you originally said. You said you would never vote for someone who uses taxpayer money for mailings, and you NEVER stated any conditions whatsoever.
Only now when your hypocrisy is pointed out, you change your story and support taxpayers paying for mailings by ONLY NOW adding conditions.
Why did you not include conditions 5 years ago that it's OK to use taxpayer money for mailings.
