CNN suspended a political reporter for two weeks after she tweeted an attack on House Republicans while reporting on their vote to put a pause on Obama’s Syrian refugee importation policy.

Elise Labott, CNN’s global affairs correspondent who covers U.S. foreign policy and international affairs, has been suspended for two weeks following a tweet where she sarcastically said the “Statue of Liberty bows head in anguish” because of the House vote to put the breaks on Obama’s refugee program.

Later in the evening, Labott went back to her tweet to apologize, saying, “Everyone, It was wrong of me to editorialize. My tweet was inappropriate and disrespectful. I sincerely apologize.”

Labott, who was hired by CNN in 2000, was only just promoted to her role as global affairs correspondent last year.

CNN has not issued a public statement, but sources have confirmed to the Washington Post that she has been suspended for the breach of journalistic principles.

This isn’t the first time that Labott’s conduct has raised eyebrows. In June, the CNN global affairs correspondent dropped an expletive—the “S”-word, in fact—on the air while discussing the situation in Iraq.

Since FoxSnooze is NOT part of the Lame Stream Media, I guess FoxSnooze is exempt  from this policy!

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Journalistic principles has become an oxymoron.
Professional journalism has become obsolete.
