'Nobody watching at home believes that any of the moderators have any intention of voting in a Republican primary!' he charged.
'The questions asked so far illustrate why the American people don't trust the media. This is not a cage match,' Cruz said
'Look at the questions: "Donald Trump, are you a comic-book villain?" "Ben Carson, can you do math?" "John Kasich, will you insult two people over here?" "Marco Rubio, why don't you resign?" "Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen?"'
'How about talking about the substantive issues that people care about?'
Cruz earned the night's loudest single wave of applause for that outburst.
Rubio followed him with additional slams on the U.S. political press corps after Trump demanded an end to 'scam' super PACs that 'are causing some very bad decisions to be made by some very good people.'
'The Democrats have their own super PAC,' Rubio claimed. 'It's called the mainstream media.'

I'm not sure which was more disgusting, the way the Mets played last night, or this debate.
Both were pathetic.

I agree Harry.
The Republican party could have had any news service moderate this debate... They chose CNBC thinking their usually conservative media would be more favorable to their candidates.
The GOP should have opted for an actual news network (like the Democrats did) if they wanted to have a fair and unbiased debate.

The CNBC Republican Debate Was A Total Trainwreck Reporters from both conservative and liberal-minded news organizations seem to agree: the CNBC Republican presidential debate was kind of a trainwreck.

I'm a huge Mets fan and the way I see it's not that the Mets played bad last night, its that the Royals played great. The Royals at this point anyway, are simply the better team.

IMHO, there are too many debates too far ahead of the primaries. The result is, you either get the same questions (and answers) over and over again, or you get stupid-assed topics like Fantasy football... add to that the need for the moderators to be "stars" and its a recipe for turning the channel

It's kind of unfair to ask 'Conservative Candidates' actual 'questions'. Their lives are full of political fantasy, so a factual question is kind of hitting below the belt.
Remember the classic (below the belt) question asked of Sarah Palin? "What do you read?"... (A trick question since it's common knowledge that Palin is functionally illiterate)

There were fireworks at Wednesday night’s Republican Presidential debate as the retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Texas Senator Ted Cruz sparred over their differing timetables for hastening the end of the world.
While both Carson and Cruz stressed their commitment to accelerating the end times as described in the Book of Revelation, they offered starkly different visions of how they would bring them about.
When Carson said he hoped to bring the world to an end during his first term in office, he received a mocking rebuke from Cruz.
“That’s not soon enough,” the Texas senator said. “When I am President, I will start working to make the Rapture happen on day one.”
Although the two traded barbs about the apocalypse for several minutes, the biggest applause line on the subject belonged to the former Hewlett-Packard C.E.O. Carly Fiorina. “These two gentlemen talk a good game about Armageddon, but I’ve made it happen,” she said, to a standing ovation.

I think we'll see a comeback in NY Saturday night ... the Royals aren't THAT good. How did they ever get home field advantage for the first game?

The Republican candidates met once again, and we found several claims worthy of fact-checking. Here are some of the highlights from the debate:
Quoted Text
~Former CEO Carly Fiorina claimed that 92 percent of the job losses in President Obama’s first term belonged to women, but women — and men — gained jobs by the end of Obama’s first term. ~Businessman Donald Trump disputed the idea that he had criticized Sen. Marco Rubio and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for supporting H-1B visas. In fact, Trump’s immigration plan, posted on his website, is critical of both of them. ~Trump also claimed his campaign was 100 percent self-funded, but more than half of the money his campaign has raised came from supporters’ contributions. ~Fiorina blamed the Affordable Care Act for a large disparity in firm closings versus openings every year. But closings outnumbered firm births by the widest margin in 2009, a year before the law was enacted. ~Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson said it was “total propaganda” to say he was involved with a controversial nutritional supplement company, but he appeared in promotional videos for the company touting its products. ~New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said that Social Security would be insolvent in seven to eight years. But even after the trust funds are exhausted — estimated to be in 14 to 19 years — the program can still pay out 73 percent of benefits for several decades. ~Sen. Ted Cruz said women’s wages have declined under Obama, when in fact the latest figures show their wages have increased. ~Rubio claimed CNBC’s John Harwood was wrong that a Tax Foundation analysis of his tax plan found those in the top 1 percent of earners would get nearly twice the gain as those in the middle. Harwood was right, and that’s on a percentage basis. ~In the undercard debate, former New York Gov. George Pataki claimed the Iranians, Russians and Chinese “hacked” the private server Hillary Clinton used as secretary of state and obtained “state secrets.” There’s no evidence of that.

Rubio was great last night. Not only did he dunk the crap out of these so-called 'moderators', but he pretty much 'headshot' Jeb! out of the race.
But I think who truly really exposed and utterly embarrassed them was Ted Cruz.
This was beyond epic....
