(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) —

Gun owners who carry concealed weapons or have confronted another person with a gun are more than twice as likely to drink heavily as people who do not own guns, according to a study by UC Davis researchers. Binge drinking, chronic heavy alcohol use, and drinking and driving were all more common among gun owners generally than among non-owners, even after adjusting for factors such as age, sex, race, and state of residence.  But alcohol abuse was most common among firearm owners who participated in gun-related behaviors that carry a risk of violence, which also included having a loaded, unlocked firearm in the home and driving or riding in a vehicle with a loaded firearm.

The UC Davis study, which appears online in the journal Injury Prevention, analyzed telephone survey results for more than 15,000 people in eight states. The highest levels of alcohol abuse were reported by gun owners who engaged in dangerous behavior with their weapons. For example, gun owners who also drove or rode in motor vehicles with loaded guns were more than four times as likely to drink and drive as were people who did not own guns.  But gun owners who did not travel with loaded guns were still more than twice as likely to drink and drive as were people who did not own guns.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

In case you have forgotten, alcohol was already banned once via the 18th Amendment of the Constitution .

It didn't work out very well.

The 21st Amendment repealed the 18th.

BAN GUNS?
WHY DOES HARRY WANT TO BAN GUNS???

There have been many proposals for gun legislation, but I have yet to see anyone want to ban the
ownership of guns by law abiding citizens in the USA.
Has Harry forgotten about the Second Amendment???

I and most Americans want congress to pass good gun legislation that regulates who can
carry and who can buy guns, as well as regulating which guns are allowable and which should
be restricted.

By his chart, if Harry is proposing that we ban tobacco, I might be inclined to agree with that legislation.

the healthcare system is already set up to be the 'owner' of all that we believe is freedom of choice and being human, and label it with a
diagnosis...
you see, the general public doesn't even know which hole it pisses out of and if some fu(king expert tagged them with a diagnosis
then, it must be right.

The ACA now has a regulation telling healthcare providers to ask if there is a gun in the house. That's an ICD10 code and will put into
your healthcare record(DIGITALLY PERMANENTLY). You become 'marked'. Same thing with obesity. Tobacco use etc etc.....
And,,,,if you've seen a psychiatrist/ologist, and this starts in the public schools.

with the advent of the internet and information public schools and healthcare will now be married and used as the new indoctrination tool.

the 'power' WILL be removed from the masses and give over to the few...for the good of the world of course.

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
