Roger Hull and Vince Riggi both won difficult write in primaries for the CONS line in the City. Hull crushed the endorsed incumbent Mayor 58% to 42% and Riggi
bumped tax lover Liser Perazzo off the CONS line. The new City CONS team is Roger Hull for Mayor-Vince Riggi, Tom Verret and Michael Cuevas for City Council. The win was
expected but the huge margins were not. Now Roger Hull now has 3 lines REP/CONS/REFORM and does not have to waste time and money on another Alliance line for November.
Great sign for November as City residents are finally tiring of the phony "progress" talk with the highest taxes, broken streets and DEMS revisionists who have destroyed the
economic base, small businesses and resale values in the City with their confiscatory taxes and fees. Anyone who drives on Brandywine or Crane Street can clearly see the
result of 40 years of DEM "progress".

LOL. Benny is happy that fake conservatives endorse a fake 'reformist'.

You just can't make this stuff up!

we don't live in the city so no horse in the race there.

HOWEVER.........I hope the Schenectadians are smart enough to vote for the candidate who will promise to abolish the METROPLEX/GILLEN and to abolish the tax exemptions!

otherwise.....not a thing will change.

Abolish?...Hull is one of the founders. He's not going to dismantle something he helped create.

Another thing you won't see is the words 'Tax Cut'.

Part of the reason we aren't big fans of Hull is he took lots of property off the tax rolls on that Seward Place.    But he didn't keep on going and going and going.

McCarthy is like the energizer bunny giving out tax exemptions.

I don't believe that whole metroplex thing was ever intended to be exempting millionaires and billionaires from paying their full property and school taxes. I understood it was only that increase in sales tax and that would go to paying for stuff downtown.

I don't ever remember anything in the news stories that said that homeowners would have to take on an increasing tax burden in order to exempt these developers from paying their own their FULL tax bill.   Maybe a property/school tax break for a middle income person to have a little mom and pop place but where in the metroplex legislation did it say the homeowners would have to take on the tax burden for millionaires and billionaires who were politically connected?  Can anyone post images of news clippings during those discussion days of Metroplex, before it was all approved?

You can't vote, in the city but remember if you live in the county, the decisions made by the mayor of the city of Schenectady affect each and every taxpayer throughout the county.  When the mayor and plex give out tax exemptions to Galesi, every taxpayers throughout the county makes up the difference.   Remember McTHIEF exempting GE from paying taxes, his decision had to be imposed on Rotterdam, so MY property taxes in the town are affected by the decision of the mayor of Schenectady.

Think of it that way and you know that even if you don't live IN the city, if you are one of the people listed on the tax rolls, you are paying.  People who pay official rent to official landlords are indirectly paying taxes (as opposed to children who haven't grown up yet and pay room and board to mommy and daddy, and parents most likely to not report that as income to the IRS, well those children are not affected by McTHIEF).

So bottom line, even if you don't live IN the city, you ARE affected in your wallet, you ARE paying.  And therefore you have a stake in what happens IN the city elections.

The CONS committee endorsed both McCheese and Leesa. Mayor McCheese has voted to increase taxes 24 times while Lisa Perazoo said "that high taxes aren't a problem in the City". While I agree that Hull
could be more CONS he is certainly preferable to the existing DEM tax lovers who "understand the importance of high taxes" (direct quote). The DEMS are crying like stuck pigs are this landslide win by Roger Hull.
Finally some of the oppressed City taxpayers are waking up to the reality that resale values are tanking despite all the moron progress that is benefiting only a handful of DEM contributors.

This is a huge loss for Mayor McCheese and stunning victory for the Reform/REP/real CONS team. It's not just the votes Roger Hull will pick up it's the 250+ votes McCheese
got the last time and won't this time. Rotsa Ruck with the phony women's equality line. PREDICTION: Roger Hull gets over 700 votes just on the Conservative Line. You had to write Hull's name in and still won
in a landslide. Vince Riggi also did great and will finish first for the 4 seats for City Council. Vote for Ann Rigley/Mike Cuevas/Tom Verett sweep the high tax stooges out of City Hall.

Shocked by all the support for Roger Hull and Ann Rigley throughout the City. People have had enough of the same lies being crammed in their mailbox every November. 40 yearsof DEM moron control of City Council has made Schenectady a pot holed, tax hell, while a handful of 1% DEM contributors who live in the burbs laugh all the way to the bank.
The reformers are printing their third round of political signs to meet some of the growing demand. People can complain that Roger Hull is not CONS enough but he can read a
profit and loss statement, managed a budget 2X bigger than the City, while making Union College one of the finest small colleges in America. Raising taxes 28 straight times
to the highest level in the nation cannot be confused with progress-even in Schenectady.

Well....let's just wait and see how schenectadians actually vote this year....it will be interesting.

and let's not forget....hull didn't 'make' union college one of the 'finest small colleges in America'....it already was....and he was paid well to keep it that way.

and exactly 'how much' does it cost to go to union college?

and exactly what is hull going to do to lower taxes...infrastructure....crime....etc....

folks shouldn't vote for hull just cause he doesn't have a 'D' after his name.

....just sayin'.
