Boxy and the fascist left just fell out of love with Pope.....

Quoted Text
Pope Francis appeared to weigh in on the side of anti-gay-marriage clerk Kim Davis, saying government workers have a "human right" to refuse to carry out a duty if they have a "conscientious objection."

While returning from his visit to the U.S., the pontiff told reporters aboard the papal plane Monday that anyone who prevents others from exercising their religious freedom is denying them a human right.

His comments are likely to be seized upon by backers of Kentucky-based Davis, whose refusal to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — in defiance of a Supreme Court ruling — has turned into her into a folk hero among some on the religious right.

The pontiff was asked: "Do you … support those individuals, including government officials, who say they cannot in good conscience, their own personal conscience, abide by some laws or discharge their duties as government officials, for example when issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples?"

He did not refer specifically to Davis in his reply, saying: "I can't have in mind all the cases that can exist about conscientious objection … but yes, I can say that conscientious objection is a right that is a part of every human right. It is a right. And if a person does not allow others to be a conscientious objector, he denies a right."

Francis added: "Conscientious objection must enter into every juridical structure because it is a right, a human right. Otherwise we would end up in a situation where we select what is a right, saying, 'this right that has merit, this one does not.'"

Asked if this principle applied to government officials carrying out their duties, he replied: "It is a human right and if a government official is a human person, he has that right. It is a human right."

Francis' remarks were translated by pool reporters aboard the plane, and were not an official translation.

Quite the contrary Bucky boy.  This Pope is just what the the USA needs.
Quoted Text

The USA,  the most powerful country in the world, that just made marriage legal for all gay
and lesbian citizens and the pope didn't directly -- or even indirectly -- address it?
No mention of marriage being between a "man and woman" or children needing a "mother and a father"?
No mention of passing laws that could inhibit marriage for gays and "protect" those opposed to it?
That, again, is astonishing. Francis was, after all, speaking to the legislative body that could do
something about it.

As Pope Francis said two years ago:
Quoted Text
“If someone is gay and searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?”

Did you just quote somebody's opinion that the Pope not speaking to congress about gay marriage licensing is the Pope's endorsement of gay marriage licensing?  Buck actually quoted the Pope's words about conscientious objection as a basic human right, AND as it relates specifically to issuing gay marriage licenses.  Based on the Pope's own words, the government throwing a woman in prison because she refused to issue a marriage license with her name endorsing it, was a violation of her human rights.  But, you fascist statists really don't care about human rights, just obedience and compliance to the decision of 5 out of 9 of the appointed black robed priests with law degrees.

No I mentioned that the pope didn't think it important enough to address the issue of gay marriage in the USA.

And there you have it folks!

The Pope is still cool because his "religious radical right-wing, hateful, homophobic views against gay marriage" wasn't done here!

It's like Boxy took a page out of the Hillary excuse book..... It doesn't make any sense.....It's obvious bullshit.....Nobody but him believes it.

As Pope Francis said two years ago:

so it's OK that YOUR religious belief should be pushed onto the American government? WTF is wrong with you?
You're one double minded person.
THE POPE IS A STATESMAN. HAS A VOTE AT THE UN AS SUCH AND YOU BELIEVE THIS IS OK? why don't you vote for
ISIS or the Taliban theocracies?

The Pope, like Jesus, didn't have much to say about homosexuality one way or the other.

I look at the pope's words, as I would any other head of state, or head of a religious order, as their opinion
on any particular subject.
If the pope condemns or supports, it makes no difference to me.  His religion is his business.

I didn't want to think it, you've actually shown flashes of rationalism and thought over the years that I've been here.....But this statement alone takes the cake.

There is no way that anyone should take you seriously anymore.

Jesus didn't have much to say about homosexuality? That is a true statement. Jesus also didn't have much to say about a few other things....

Jesus didn't say anything about bestiality, so I guess that banging or being banged by a horse/dog/sheep was 'OK' by Jesus. You know, since he didn't mention it.

Rape? Don't recall Jesus talking about rape. It's a hot issue with you fascists these days. I mean 25% of all female collage students are raped by males....Or so you say.  Must be 'OK' by Jesus? Right, Boxy?

Let's not leave out pedophilia. He really didn't talk about that either. But those were different times, right bro? Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed. Jesus really didn't mention any age cutoff between the "Millstone around the neck".

If we go by 'Western' standards....13 years old would be cool? Boy or Girl?...Well, maybe not so much for Boys.

So, because Jesus didn't talk about these other subjects, that gives someone the right to do such things? Because Jesus didn't mention it, there is a vast garner of support to endorse such things?

Seriously. You are truly an idiot.

Jesus did talk about marriage though....Why?...Because Jesus was one of those "radical right-wing Mosaic Jews"....He followed Mosaic law. and he, himself, said that marriage is between a man and woman. That homosexuality was forbidden by the Old Testament, that he said was the Word of God.

Box has a religion of Box's own.....however, likes to project said religion on others insidiously as Box believes is the correct way.

Box believes, as do others that attack middle eastern taliban countries, that only certain religions should exist and if they do, only in a certain palatable way....hhhmmmm.....

Maybe Box would like to have 'God elections'?

MOST CHRISTIANS alive today totally ignore the old testament (unless it happens to fit their
agenda).  Read Leviticus and see how many of today's CHRISTIANS follow even a few of his
proclamations... yet they will quote Leviticus when they can squeeze one quote out of an entire
text to prove their point.
So... if ya are gonna follow the bible, then no picking and choosing.... if it's in there then LIVE
BY IT,
or...
Do what MOST CHRISTIANS do today... follow the word of Christ as best you can and try to do
good by your god and your fellow man.

Pope Francis is following the meaning of Christ when He said:

(The Greatest Commandments)
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the greatest and most important commandment.
(The second is like it
Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two
commandments”
(Matthew 22:37–40).

It's too late for even 'pope almighty' to 'render unto Caesar what is caesar's'....and to God what is God's'....the church is just as corrupt, greedy and power driven.

They are one in the same.

Why? Because EVERYTHING (even the churches) belongs to Caesar....EVERYTHING....and we bought into it.

Jesus threw it right back at us to decide....

We CHOSE to become indebted and are doing business with Caesar on Caesar's terms.

Example.....Can anyone refuse to pay for Caesar's army?...NOPE!

We've already compromised ourselves.

Ya wanna play by Caesar's rules, then ya 'all better expect to pay for the pleasure of their self proclaimed enjoyment.

Pope almighty's visit was a total waste of time, except to the politicians and the evil that will continue to divide and obscure the truth of Jesus Christ.

Same sex marriage and abortion and conflicts(war) and high taxation and forced tax paid entitlements, is now the law of this nation....thanks to Caesar!

CAESAR OWNS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU....YOU ARE ALL IN CAESAR'S DEBT!!

You picked your god.

We will eventually regret our choice.
