William Winkler has stepped down as acting commissioner of general services, leaving the post vacant again. Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy appointed Winkler as acting commissioner of general services in March. He is on the payroll for another three weeks but is using up vacation and sick time. “I have no intention of going back unless there is some major issue they need help with,” Winkler said Wednesday. “I plan to resign. It is health-related.” Winkler ...

Finally, a double dipper will be gone!

His pension paid by the taxpayers was just about $54,000 and his city salary paid by the taxpayers has been about $66,500.

When McTHIEF appointed Winkler just a SHORT 4 years ago, Winkler's salary was to be $48,000.

WOW, A WHOPPING $18,500 raise in just four years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!      Taxpayer money.  Even the fast food workers working full time will NOT get that much of a raise in the 5 years or so that it will take to get them to $15 an hour

Wonder if McTHIEF will higher his BIG (in more ways than one) cheerleader??????           No, that will NOT happen because the cheerleader wants absolutely NOTHING to do with living IN the city.

What happens in the city affects Rotterdam, e.g., McTHIEF works with plex to give GE a 100% tax exemption which also causes a total exemption of GE to pay taxes IN Rotterdam, thus we pay higher taxes because of decisions made by McCarthy.

And notice all the crime in the city is coming into the town, the city's lowlifes are stealing lots of stuff, breaking into cars (even if people took stuff out, the are taking stuff from peoples porches and yards IN Rotterdam.   Not to mention coming into the town and all the crime at Walmart, Hannaford, that shopping plaza and it's Rotterdam police that have to handle it, so it's services paid by Rotterdam homeowners, not Schenectady homeowners.  Schenectady does not bother to do anything to have stores for people to shop in the city, so we bear the expense which I'll be exceeds the sales tax.

People of the city need to be informed of what their elected are doing, and especially this election year, people need to know that McTHIEF had a double dipper and in just four short years gave him a whopping $20,000 raise.  When was that raise EVER announced with wide publicity to the public in the city?

It really IS getting old.  Every damn post has to point in SOME way back to one person.  I mean is there some kind of love affair between the two of them?  Does Christine know?

Sheesh.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.
