Police: Boy possibly missing in Schenectady
September 1, 2015

A white van that is under investigation in connection to a possible missing child case in Schenectady, Sept. 1, 2015.

SCHENECTADY — Schenectady police are investigating a witness report of a possible missing child in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

Police called the report unconfirmed as they have received no official report that a child is missing.

Police said they received a report that the child was seen getting into a white Ford Econoline van between 10:30 and 11 a.m. in the area of Emmons and Henry streets.

Police heard from one witness who saw the boy get in the van. Surveillance video confirmed such a van was in the area at the time, police said.

The boy is possibly named Tyler and believed to be around 9 years old. He is described as 4 feet, 10 inches tall with a skinny build and short brown hair.

Police did not know if the boy had a connection with the driver. The driver was described as an either white or Hispanic man with a full beard and wearing a white shirt and a blue baseball hat.

The van appears to have a dent on the passenger side of the hood and a custom gas cap, police said.

Anyone with information or who may have seen the van in the area of Steinmetz Homes this morning is asked to contact police at 630-0911.

The report comes a week after another man was arrested on a child endangerment count, accused of luring a child he did not know into a vacant apartment with a false story. The child was unharmed and ran from the home when he heard his father yelling for him. That suspect, William M. Lindley, 26, remains in the Schenectady County Jail on a parole violation.

Hope police can zoom in on the plate number.
And that this is just someone being concerned and that the child is ok.
Weird how someone would possibly know the childs first name and no one reported him missing?

Even scarier is the fact that there are so many "security" cameras watching our movements.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.
