Section 264.63, Item L, of the Code of Schenectady states:

Quoted Text

Political posters and signs, displayed 45 days prior to election or primary day. ...

Obviously McCarthy's cronies in Code Enforcement do not know how to count because 45 days prior to Election Day looks to be September 19.

We went to Shop-Rite today via McClellan St (hate to do that), and I happened to see some McCarthy signs,  Is there a primary election that McCarthy is participating in?  We saw a Kosiur and Perazzo/Polimeni sign too.   I'm not saying that their opponents don't also have signs up in violation of city code, just didn't see any, anyone is welcome to provide evidence (i.e., dated photos) that they are.

This was the one short block of McClellan, with houses on only one side of the street, between the Plaza and Grand Blvd.

But what was so damn funny was that in between the properties with these signs, on this very short block, there were a bunch for "for sale" signs.   Quite obvious to people when they see McTHIEF signs that there IS a DEFINITE CONNECTION between his term as mayor and all the people trying to flee the city.

Curiosity got the best of me, I looked up the houses for sale.  Most of these houses are brand newly listed and 3 of the 5 are have listed them far below the assessment value, but of course, their taxes will be calculated based on the assessment value, and since we know that under McCarthy's leadership the city of Schenectady is the highest overassessed city in the whole state of New York.  Certainly proves a mayor who fails to obey state law and causes home values to fall massively.

Here they are, and if you were to look at the realtor sites, you would mostly see lower taxes.  The people are so extremely desperate to flee the city and/or the realtors are so desperate to try to get some commission in the city that they are falsifying the amount of taxes that will be paid.  Based on the current tax rates and the fee amounts, I've included the taxes on these properties based on official records and subtracting the Basic STAR exemption.  I didn't look at each house, but one said the taxes were only $4,700 and it's really over $7,000 WITH Basic STAR.  But the realtor listed the taxes based on the Senior Enhanced STAR exemption, PLUS the Combat Veteran exemption PLUS the aged low income exemption.

But there they are:

And these houses, plan on paying hefty building permit fees because they need massive updating, taking out 50+ year old light fixtures, one has a yellow toilet, bathroom sink, and tub, another has green color for the same, 40+ year old paneling, formica countertops. the wallpaper in some is atrocious and while that doesn't require a building permit,  it's a lot of work to remove paper properly if the wall was not properly prepared, which back 40, 50, 60 years ago was not done, and the wall to wall carpeting long outdated.    Can you imagine after the building permits are issues how much the city will jack up the assessments on $40,000 renovations of kitchens and bathrooms!

The city is such a joke

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Gary Hughes has a bunch outside his house on Bradley Street.  (Or at least he did sometime last week)

It disgusts me when driving through...  The dumbocrats actually truly believe they are doing good work.
