Man accused of stabbing     
   A Schenectady man was charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing.

   Angel Mendez, 21, who lives in Yates Village, allegedly stabbed the victim at 1427 State St., the Flores Family     Restaurant, on May 24, according to police. He was charged with one count each of second degree attempted murder and     fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

   The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Mendez in Amsterdam early Thursday morning, police said. He was arraigned in Schenectady City Court and jailed without bail Thursday afternoon.

   Alexander Marcano, 36, Avenue A, was charged June 30 with criminal possession of a hallucinogenic substance, six counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminal possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon.  

   Robert Jones, 38, Avenue A, was charged June 30 with criminal possession of a hallucinogenic substance, five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
