Big turn out lots of people marching, but oddly missing was two members of the Rotterdam Town Board. Harry and Wayne must have had pressing business with the town to make them unavailable for this event. Maybe it was some secret back room meetings being held while the town was looking the other way. Thank you to all the elected officials that showed their pride in this town and took the time to joins residents in remembering those who have fallen.

Bad timing. Traffic was horrendous!
I know that memorial day is almost like a week early.....but it REALLY created a traffic issue for ROTTENdamians and beyond.
but then again....i'm not a parade person!

as a side note......I don't think ANYONE in politics should be in these parades!!!
it just becomes another 'taxin' tonko' opportunity for the politicians!!!
ya know...hands to shake, babies to kiss...blah blah blah!
and of course a photo shoot opportunity!! UGH!!!

They must be too embarrassed to face the people.  Like people who sort of disappear from this board for days (or weeks) at a time when they are too embarrassed to face the evidence.

I wish it had been warmer

speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

So in Rotterdam, the Memorial day parade thread is about gripes and complaints.
Sad.

Happy Memorial day to all.

seems like tradition, respect of our veterans and the heritage of this country has gone by the wayside....

Society has become complacent and ignorant of the facts about this glorious country...and how it came to be....the last few genertions have no idea of the

sacrifice in any of our conflicts...some don't know who the Presidents were in the past....

Education has also gone astray....more emphasis on technology than what brought us to this.....

Forever wishing that tradition would exist within the home school and community.....
