It was brought to my attention by someone who wanted to know why this thing was based in Saratoga County. I noticed the "generosity" part myself, I haven't the foggiest notion what that's all about either.

The “6th Annual Electric City Couture Fashion Show – Saratoga Edition,” will feature both established and up and coming regional fashion designers in a juried, pure runway experience. The evening will showcase signature collections of five regional designers and will include roughly 55 male and female models on the runway. Targeted proceeds from this years show will go to the ongoing restoration work of Historic Universal Preservation Hall, a year-round arts and community events venue. This years show will be a partnership between Proctors of Schenectady NY, Universal Preservation Hall and Electric City Couture and is designed to highlight the strengths of the regional creative economy.

UPH has garnered support from local businesses, community members and visitors to our area.  The Hall has been the recipient of many in-kind donations over the years and we are grateful for all the work and donations we have received.  The Hall has also received support from The Preservation League of NYS, The Landmarks Conservancy, the State of New York, the City of Saratoga Springs, the Adirondack Trust Company, The Swyer Foundation, The Universal Baptist Church, the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust, The Saratoga Foundation and The Stewart’s Foundation. In 2006, Universal Preservation Hall was named an “Official Project” of Save America’s Treasures and received nearly $200,000 from the U.S. Federal Government.  In 2009, UPH received an Environmental Protection Fund grant of similar size from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to assist in the completing the Historic Community Plaza in the front of the building.  For a complete listing of our supporters and grants, please contact the office. Maybe because they've used Proctor's for fashion shows?
I hope it is no more than that. I'm all for historic preservation, but Schenectady County residents shouldn't be supporting preservation in a lower-taxed county across the river, especially through an entity which has been murderously destructive of our historic places.
