Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

public schools as they are right now, are loosing ground very very quickly and it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TESTS THAT TRACK THE TEACHERS....
it has EVERYTHING to do with technology and what future is coming at us.....
in less than 10 years things will be VERY VERY VERY different......
that core curriculum is important to train the human brain to think like the new technology, no different than the '3 R's' were back in the day for that up and coming technology.....
jobs WILL be lost across the spectrum of what we are currently looking at as 'sustainable jobs'......
people need to adapt much quicker than the climate is changing......we have changed our world but are unprepared to live in it....
