SCHENECTADY -- Police have confirmed that Mount Pleasant Middle School in Schenectady is in a lockout due to a report of shots fired in the area.
The incident happened just after 12:30. People are allowed to leave the school, but not enter. Lieutenant Mark McCracken from Schenectady Police say they are currently responding and the incident is not related to the school. Stay tuned for more information.

Cheer cheer rah rah, the city is improving, it's better than it was 10 years ago, the democracts actually lower taxes, the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job.

I guess it's going to cost the taxpayers some money to re-print the brochures of houses on next week's gala bus tour of open houses, first to reflect the reduction in asking prices that this has caused, and second to add more houses to the list as more people try to cut their loses and leave before it's a complete ghost town.

UPDATE: Multiple schools are in lockout. Police say two cars were exchanging gunfire. Two people have been taken to the hospital.
It will be interesting to see if the two taken to the hospital will 'talk'.
