Our guess.   Lot sold for $1 to a preferred developer.   Loan or Plex funding.   Upscale apts./condos.   Sure this thought has occured to many.   Sympathys to all displaced and massive kudos to the volunteer orgs. who get their helping hands involved.   They never get enough credit for their time/compassion in these most trying times.

This is a shame and code enforcement needs to be held responsible too,we sit in these forums and do a lot of nothing,we know about the corruption, but turn a blind eye to it,now ppl have lost their lives. It shouldn't take something happening to your family,or family members to make your voice heard.turn off the cable tv,delete the Facebook accounts, unless it's for something positive and make your frustrations legally known !

to sue, they must have a basis...cause of fire is start point.  Just asking?

Highly unlikely.

"Well known" means the police would have heard about it; they're only like a block away after all.

Plus meth labs are probably not so easy to hide considering the toxins they spew.

Hazmat would have been dispatched to the scene.

Just for information's sake, there is a method of manufacturing meth called "shake and bake". Very easy to hide. Very unsophisticated and nothing like the Breaking Bad or big lab set ups.

Hardware

2 2-liter bottles (Clean & dry, with lid)
1 1-liter bottle (Clean & dry, with lid)
1 20oz bottle (Clean & dry, with lid)
Approx 18" aquarium tubing
Needle-nosed pliers
Small pipecutter (Or snips)
Measuring cups (1/3 and 1 cup size)
Funnel
Small tupperware container with lid
Baggies
Utility knife or razorblade
Coffee filters

Ingredients

1. 1/3 cup Ammonium Nitrate (Get by cutting open cold packs. It's the little white balls. Be careful what you buy, some cold packs are ammonium nitrate-free.

Other materials can be used, but we're going to do it this way.)

2. 1/2 cup 100% Lye (aka Sodium Hydroxide. Available at hardware stores in the drain cleaner section. - Drano Crystals, or any other powdered lye works)

3. 3 cups Coleman Camp Fuel (Engine starting fluid [diethyl ether], or VM&P naphtha can also be used)

4. 3x Lithium strips (Get by cutting open Energizer AA Lithium batteries - This YOUTUBE tutorial video shows EXACTLY how to get your Lithium strips)
YouTube - Get Lithium Metal From an Energizer Battery

5. 100ml NP solvent of your choice (Xylene or MEK is recommended - easily found at your local hardware store in the paint section)

6. 3-4 boxes 120mg 12-hour pseudoephedrine HCl (PSE). The highest count you can find. (Sudafed or a generic equivalent. MAKE SURE PSE IS THE ONLY ACTIVE INGREDIENT.)

7. about 1/3 cup iodized salt 8. 4 capfuls sulfuric acid (Available as liquid drain cleaner.) OR muriatic acid (Also sold at hardware stores)

9. Denatured alcohol or Isopropyl alcohol

10. 1/8 cup of distilled water (Poland Spring or any bottled water can also be used)

Pipe down you twit. The information is readily available on the internet. First time I saw it was on tv. Geez.

Btw, want to know how to make a diy thermo,-neucelar device, google it.

Want to know how to make cocaine, google it.

Want to know how to grow weed, google it.

Any 10 year old with internet access and healthy curiosity can do it.

I purposely left out the instructions on HOW to make the stuff, but if you want to know, google "shake and bake meth". Don't be such an ignorant tight-a** for cryin' out loud.

You're welcome. That was my point. Easily hidden and very unsophisticated, but the results are the same. Also VERY unstable. Wish I could remember where I saw it on the tube, 'cause there were some very graphic interviews with folks who had the stuff blow up on them. Maybe I'll see if I can find it online.

Ok, I saw this when I still had cable tv. It was on Discovery Channel.

Warning to patches, this video shows how to make "shake and bake meth". It was on tv. I'm sure kids saw it. If you don't like the content, don't watch.
