I give a $20 to the attendant, order the first drink, and tell the attendant to hang on to the twenty til the end of the flight.  I usually don't go over $20.

Southwest hasn't taken cash on the last few flights that I took to Florida.

All things considered, it is much more enjoyable to travel by train than by bus or airplane.  Take a good book to read while relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery of America.

Personally, I don't care to travel by airplane.

Not enough room of course

Especially when one is NOT a taxpayer and does NOT have a financial care in the world thanks to not being an independent self supporting adult.

And RP was not asking the question in the way you are responding, mommies' boys don't have to worry about finances for sightseeing stuff.  RP is obviously not going on some sightseeing tour, but rather asking from the point of comfort in view of medical issues, and remember, RP is one of those people paying the taxes for all those dem connected tax deadbeats and for all the rich political cronies of the mayor who obviously doesn't even remotely  consider you worthy of a taxpayer funded job nor holding office.

But for sure, once you leave the ghost town of Schenectady, there is beautiful scenery

It might be a scary proposition for you but there are "ride share" listings on the web. http://www.zimride.com/ http://albany.craigslist.org/search/rid

I do know someone who did share a ride to Florida and it worked out wonderfully....

The other option is looking for a friend or family member that would be interested in travelling with you and share the trip down. If you can afford it offer to pay for the gas and the room(s) during the trip down and back. Maybe someone you know has a older teenager who could be your chauffeur, just don't ask them to wear the hat.
