DV, if this developer is so vastly wealthy that he has $6 MILLION dollars in his pocket to spend, then would YOU, DV, would YOU agree that the developer should pay 100%, i.e., FULL taxes?   Or do you believe that the people of the city who may not even have $100 in the bank should pay the taxes on these properties?

Have you got the GUTS to respond and state whether you believe the poor of the city should pay the taxes of the rich developer?   Or is it your position that this developer should FULLY pay his own taxes.

Downtown millionaires have their taxes paid for by financially struggling homeowners and you have cheered about all the wild uncontrolled spending tax money on downtown even though it has resulted in the massive reduction of the city's tax base, caused property values to plummet, caused home sales AND home sale prices to plummet, cause reductions in essential services to the homeowners in their neighborhoods, and caused increase in taxes on the financially struggling homeowners.

So I assume you will be cheering wildly in favor of the poor homeowners in the city to pay for the taxes of another millionaire, is that right?   Can't fathom how you can exist every day without wearing nose plugs because you are the biggest (in more ways than one) because you have lots of stinky sh*t on your nose from your brown nosing.  Too bad it's not getting you anywhere, you still remain a 50+ years old adult who is living like a little mommies' boy, does not live like a normal adult, independent and self sufficient.

So, DV, tell us, do you believe Jesus approves of your buddy dems making the poor in the city paying the taxes of the politically connected millionaires downtown?   For some strange reason you won't answer that.

speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

This proposal is such great news for Schenectady and proof that Mayor McCarthy and Ray Gillen ARE IN FACT wokring hard to improve ALL PARTS of the City-County of Schenectady that the nayboobs are silent -- lest they (the nayboobs)  be once more proven to be uninformed, disingenuous hypocrites.  Ecspecially, the most mendacious of the lot who belongs to the species gallinarius excrementum.

I don't know how much more renaissance I can take. We are really making it harder and harder for the next generation. I know some of you are all in favor of leaving a mess, kicking the can down the road, but I find it sinful myself.

The property that would be redeveloped by this proposal have been neglected for so many years -- almost a generation -- so your BS about this proposal "leaving a mess, kicking the can down the road" is laughable.  You whine out of one side of your about the administration saying "nothing is being done " than whine out of the other side of your mouth when something is being done.   Nothing is going to make you happy.  And that is a sad way to live a life.

She is commenting on a thread about a PRIVATE DEVELOPER willing to invest PRIVATE MONEY to redevelop several properties -- properties which have been vacant or underutilized for at least 30 years.  She clearly characterizes the proposal as a mess and kicking the can down the road.  She never mentioned debt.  She - like all the other nayboobs - simply will not say ANYTHING positive about Schenectady.  They have never and will never be happy or satisfied.  God Almighty could open the skies and in one breath revitalize every square inch of the city and the nayboobs would find something negative to say about it.

Tell us, how much of much tax dollars is plex kicking in?  Or can you prove WITH EVIDENCE that not one penny of tax dollars are going to this?

Tell us, will this project mean a "PILOT" by the property owners, i.e., they have $6 million to spend but have not money to pay their FULL taxes so the poor homeowers with incomes of $40,000 or less have to pay largest percentage of the FULL TAX BILL for the millionaires?   And be sure to provide EVIDENCE of your answer.

And can you tell us WHY you keep cheering for all the projects that cause the poor homeowners to be paying the taxes of these millionaires?   Just explain to us DV, WHY, tell us WHY people with low incomes must pay $1.6 MILLION of a $2 MILLION tax over 10 years for a rich developer (LeGere) who is a TAX DEADBEAT on numerous properties throughout the city that they own--properties that are NOT tax exempt?   Can you tell us DV?

Cam you tell us if Jesus supports your beloved and corrupt dems in the city in making the poor pay the taxes of the millionaire and billionaires?   Does your employer know that you favor making the poor pay the taxes of the rich even if it means the homeowners will lose their homes?

DV, naturally you do NOT pay taxes, and being supported by two rich mommies, you don't have a financial care in the world.  But normal adults don't have mommies or daddies to support them, instead they have to pay their mortgages out of their own pockets, they have to struggle to pay the taxes out of their own pockets.   So DV, HOW, tell us HOW it is beneficial to the city to have property values in massive decline along with higher taxes which precludes homebuyers from even remotely  consider buying a house in the city due to the FACT that the buyer can't afford to pay the taxes of the rich political cronies?  Tell us DV, how is it beneficial to the people of the city to become poorer while paying the taxes of the rich who get richer?  Of course we all know you won't address those facts.

This proposed project has great potential.   Its location is ideal - literally at the intersection of two neighborhoods ->  Hamilton Hill and Central State.  This could be the catalyst to improve the central State Street Corridor as well as the Brandywine Avenue Corridor.   Certainly, it shows that Mayor McCarthy, Ray Gillen and others are working hard to improve ALL of the City-County of Schenectady.

And of course you will NOT answer and state what great potential it has for homeowners IF they incur a higher tax bill and a reduction in their home value.

ONLY under the following conditions--EACH AND EVERY condition--should this project be approved:

-- It is totally and exclusively paid for with PRIVATE money, not one penny of tax money (including the cost of any traffic signal changes.
-- The owners pay the FULL taxes, no PILOT's.
-- The property is assigned an assessed value that exceeds the market value by the same amount that homeowners are paying taxes on values far above the value of their homes, so that the ultimate property owner(s) of this place will pay the same excess amount of taxes that homeowners pay.

DV, do YOU agree that ALL three of these conditions should be met?

The only interest McCarthy has in this project is to beautify all corridors leading to his precious downtown.

Through the use of displacement via gentrification.
