DV has NERVE talking about "counting" when he claims that taxes are lower than they were in the 1970's.  WOW!  That is a SUPER MAJOR mis-counting.  Not to mention it was an out and out LIE as PROVEN by the FACT that in three  years he has noit produced one teeny weeny shred of EVIDENCE to prove the taxes are lower.

I DID state the TRUTH -- taxpayers CANNOT AFFORD to pay for yet another park when there are more then enough parks, e..g, as an example previously provided, the city long ago created enough parks for a population of 120,000, and the population is only half that now, so no more parks are needed!  And also the truth in discrediting your claim that people would have to "walk a far distance" when the other park in the neighborhood is but a half mile away from the proposed new one, and only 1.5 miles from to Central Park from the furthest point in that neighborhood.

How 'bout that other 'park' over on Becker Street, where the other school was taken away from a neighborhood teeming with children? Anyone notice for some reason there are ugly barriers up to keep anyone in the neighborhood from being able to park in the ugly parking lot?
A park. Yep. Miles of houses suitable for families, not a school in sight. Just what Eastern Avenue needs. Removing the schools kills neighborhoods. Of course, our 'leaders' have some moronic idea that our neighborhoods need "thinning out" or some such crazy thing anyway.

The vacant lot on Becker Street is NOT and has NEVER BEEN a park.  It is NOT a parking lot either.  It is NOT owned by the City of Schenectady.  It is owned by the City School District of Schenectady which is a COMPLETELY SEPARATE ENTITY.

"Moles of houses" in the Eastern Avenue neighborhood???  The neighborhood is NOT that big.

And the 50+ year old wittle baby boy is unable to comprehend what he reads either.   He posts about that location on Becker never was a park.   Madam commented about the 'park.'        Of course, someone who has no intelligence wouldn't grasp the intent of Madam's message.  And actually 'park' could be interpreted in two different ways.   It could be viewed as a park (albeit without grass) as in playground, or it can be as in a place for the taxpayers to park their cars.  

In fact, DV also lacks intelligence in claiming it's owned by the school district.  It's owned by the taxpayer!   The taxpayers pay for that piece of property out of their pockets but are denied used of the property.    You would think in exchange for paying almost the highest taxes in the country, the city and the school district could allow the people who pay for that property to use that property.  Both Brandywine and McClellan are "priority streets" for snowplowing which mandates that everyone remove their cars from parking on the street.   Houses there are mostly two family so typically there could be 2 to 4 car per house, maybe tenants in one flat can use the driveway but tenants in the other flat must park on the street.  Those who must park on the street have a birthright entitlement to park their cars on a piece of property as they pay for that property out of their taxes--either directly or by paying a landlord who then pays the taxes.


Of course, wittle boy cannot count either -- he thinks today's taxes are lower than in the 1970's, that would mean if a tax bill today is $1,000 but in the 1970's it was $400, DV claims that $400 is more than $1,000.

I missed that.  While I don't endorse the forcing of taxpayers paying for private business (under threat of losing ones home for failure to pay the taxes), I don't blame Morettes for asking (I'm guessing you meant they were asking for tax money) because after all, why should they be at a disadvantage competitively against the millionaire political crony restaurants?   But I understand the current owners of Morettes are related to republican Jim Tedisco, so I don't foresee the dems giving them money (not assuming the owners are reps, but just sayin').
