SCHENCTADY N.Y. -There is heavy police presence on Parkwood Blvd in Schenectady.

According to dispatchers police were called to Parkwood Blvd around 1:30 Tuesday morning.

Dispatch has also confirmed the initial 9-1-1 phone call was for a reported gunshot victim.

Authorities have taped off Parkwood Blvd; no traffic is able to travel through.

Neighbors tell NEWS10 ABC crews someone was taken from the scene by ambulance.

Police have yet to release any details.

SCHENECTADY N.Y. -The Schenectady Police Department is currently investigating a homicide.

According to dispatchers police were called to Parkwood Blvd at 1:29 Tuesday morning for a report of several shots fired and a victim down in the roadway.

Upon arrival officers observed a victim suffering gunshot wounds to their upper body.

The victim, a 25-year-old male was transported to Ellis Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

Schenectady Police are currently investigating the incident.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the TIPS Line at (51 788-6566.

Any idea of what block of Parkwod?  Is the whole road closed?

BREAKING‬: Schenectady Police identify homicide victim from this morning as 25 year old Wayne Best. He lived on Parkwood Boulevard. Police looking for two suspects, both black men. One described as 5'9, wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, and a ski mask. The other was described as wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and ski mask. Anyone with any information is asked to call Schenectady Police.

I really don't think that the democratic party is totally responsible for crime in any specified area.
nationally, society has been on a decline for the last few decades.
however, what I do think is that the local dems avoid the subject of crime all together.
remember....they are trying to make sh!t shine.

but not to worry....EVERYONE in the surrounding areas know that Schenectady is a high taxed, crime ridden sh!thole.
if that weren't true....there wouldn't be all of the vacant homes.

the sin of the local dems is that they are not addressing the crime issue publically.
but then again........neither are the reps.....so there ya have it.

They have a county presence don't they?  It's not a big county.  Their solution is the same as the Democrats --- give away tax money and tax exemptions to businesses willing to open in the City.
