Where is the sentence, in that article, that state's that?

How else do you think the City knows what to budge for in 2014? DUH!!!!
New projection shows city will have problem in 2015 budget based on info rec'd
in 2014...isn't that what's been reported?

So again, PROVIDE FACTS!  You DEMAND facts from others, but in
you case you only answer questions with more questions when
you can't provide facts.....maybe you are too obsessed with
DVOR trolling to provide facts to support your claims in legitimate questions!

And where does it say that the STATE already gave the city projections for the August 2015 bill?

All I read is the city is budgeting X amount.

Oh, and they can budget without knowing what they need to budget for, right?

Pensions aren't the only problems.  The whole benefits package IS!!!!  This is a run away freight train.

Well look like the city has a real problem with the Employee Benefits.  In 2012 it was 93% of the Real Estate Taxes.  In 2011 it was more than the taxes collected. Wish I had time to put in the 2013 numbers.  Scared to see it.

I am merely asking when did they get the projections, I'm only stating what the news article said.   It said NOTHING about WHEN they got the projections.

But provide the information that states when NYS has already provided the city a projection for the August 2015 bill.

Tell us joe, businesses and to some extent homeowners are making up their budgets for 2015.

Tell us joe, have the school districts given us projections on what the tax bills will be that we will receive in August 2015.   I trust you know that we taxpayers will receive our school tax bills in August.

So since you seem to claim that OSC actually has given the city projections for what a bill will be in August 2015, I trust you can provide details of what that projection is AND when the projection was given to the city?

Well I can't provide fact of date for submittal, because it doesn't seem to be something
readily available to a lay person.  I guess only way to get it is to request info from city,
and doubt they will oblige.  However, it seems very logical that the city must have some
numbers from the state BEFORE they can sit down and plan/propose a budget...that is
a logical assumption that can be made.

As for schools, I believe the answer is yes.  When they present 2015 budget for approval
the % increase is provided and statements during the budget process identify what %
increase homeowners will see if budget is passed as presented.

OK, so NOW, TODAY, October 8, 2014, businesses and perhaps some homeowners are planning their budgets for calendar year 2015 (January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015, and you are saying that school districts have already provided projections to businesses and homeowners of what the school tax bill WILL BE that we will receive in August 2015?

How come I have not yet received a projection on what Mohon's tax bill WILL be that we get in August 2015?

Can't answer that...don't know when school budget is done or when they
have open meetings, etc. Maybe call Mohon office and ask!

It's obvious that John Muteovooren is not qualifed to be a councilman he brings no accounting experience to the table. Furthermore McCarthy and his crew doesn't have a clue how to manage the city's finances. All they know how to do is RAISE TAXES AND HIRE MORE GOVERNMENT MULES AND NOT TO MENTION MCCARTHY GIVES MILLIONS OF TAX PAYERS DOLLARS TO RICH DEVELOPERS!  Time for a new Mayor and a new council!
