Cicero is correct.

"We" aren't hopefully waiting.

"You" are.

Every single project just wastes more money and brings no lasting results.

Well unless you count record breaking tax increases, record breaking foreclosures, decaying neighborhoods and crime o'plenty.

Apparently, the Nayboobs will never be happy anyway -- but those of us who are reasonable and balanced know that things are moving in the right direction.  We are able to be happy for the good news which shows that our community is and will remain a great place to live, work, and do business.

If not for Gillen - your taxes probably would have quadrupled!

Is that a TIC?  How can you assume that?  Unless you are suggesting the city would continue to increase spending without the revenue.  The sales tax revenue increased at the rate of inflation.

the seniors living in those apartments will be the practice dummies for the home healthaide and personal care aide and certified CNA
classes at SCCC.....

and those jobs are pi$$ poor paying jobs.....certainly not jobs that allow someone to be financially independent....

they are subsidized like walmart workers.....

all the elderly stuffed into places with low wage workers doing 'gods work' just because they are nice?

Moving in the right direction?    Really?   A massively falling tax base.   Drastically increasing taxes.   Home values plummeting to the point where homeowners cannot even refinance their homes to lower interest rates to save money---which means that higher rates equals higher mortgage costs on mortgages with payoff balances that exceed the value of the house.   Then add to that ever increasing taxes.

And THAT is what DV calls "moving in the right direction."

No wonder he doesn't own a house, he would go bankrupt if he owned a house.

Oh Lord, he's still at it.

Bradley, give it up.  Nobody cares.

Why do you cheer for everything that cause reduction to the city's tax base and cheer for increasing taxes on the homeowners?

The reps are cheering for it too.....cause they want to control it with their friends and family club!!!

WAKE UP!!!

You really are grasping at straws.  More of your "chicken little" - "the sky is falling and everyone is going to die if we do X" - approach gets old and quite boring after a while.
There is nothing in the proposal that suggests that the senior residents are all going to be needing home health aides and personal care aides.  Many seniors who move into apartments are in good health and perfectly capable of caring for themselves.

national healthcare demands that one stay home and receive assistance.....THAT will be the new norm.....it's not a 'sky
is falling', it's a fact...the fact being is that it is insidious to age....you don't wake up one day and say "today is the day
my knees don't work so I need help".....the future is coming the future is coming......see the difference there?
