#GUILDERLAND — A Schenectady man was killed after a train hit him Thursday night, Oct. 2, which police believe to be an apparent suicide.

#Guilderland police responded to the railroad grade crossing on County Line Road after a representative from CSX reported a train had struck someone. Police discovered Christopher Weston, 39, was hit by the train traveling eastbound from Buffalo. Weston was pronounced dead at the scene.

#Train traffic was halted during the investigation. Members of CSX and Fort Hunter Fire Company assisted Guilderland police.

#Police have not released any additional information at this time on the incident.

No wonder the spotlight is gone! Was the man fat or was the hit fatally. Spell check is a wonderful thing "Spotlight Staff".

I just drove over those tracks this morning, I assume the crossing is reopened now, but maybe I will find another way home tonight might be a lot of morbidly curious people driving that way today.
