I see in the news today there are plans for the city to soon take tax payments online.

Watch the cheerleaders take this and brag and say how wonderful, that the city is in this renaissance, it's moving forward, babble, babble, babble as if the city invented online payments.

No cheering whatsoever should take place, the city is one of the most backward cities that exists.   Heck, they can't even post the minutes to council meetings within 5 months after the meeting!

And what happens then?

You lose your house and all the money you paid in mortgage as well as renovations OR you pay the taxes PLUS the interest in order to keep the house at the 11th hour.

Either way you lose

let me try to explain this AGAIN!!!!
You take the money you WOULD have given to the corrupt greedy government and put it aside.
You KNOW that it takes anywhere from 3-5 years before ANYTHING happens.
and if the majority of the folks did this......it would take the corrupt greedy government a lifetime to foreclose...too many properties!!!!
so for AT LEAST 3 years (and trust me...it wouldn't even take that long to garner massive attention) the corrupt greedy government would have NO MONEY!!
That is the ONLY way the taxpayers can protest and get the well deserved attention they have coming.

THE CITY WOULD BE BROKE!!! They can't survive without the taxes....taxes from the already overburdened tax payers.

TAKE A STAND FOLKS!!! If everyone didn't pay ONE YEAR COLLECTIVELY.....YOU'D SEE MAJOR CHANGES COMING!!!

BUT....nobody has the balls or brains....they see themselves with nothing but victims.

Ya know the old saying....if ya feel like your being treated like a rug (being stepped on)....GET UP OFF THE FLOOR!!!

1.  Please tell us how you go about instructing your bank not to make the tax payment

2.   And tell us what you answer is to those who perhaps are paid off on their mortgage and they choose not to pay their $5,000 tax bill and when they do pay the added interest requires them to pay $9,000?

3.   What is your response to those who then have their credit record negatively impacted and how can't get credit to purchase a furnace when their furnace is shot, or they can't get a car loan?

4.   And since the city charges high interest on unpaid taxes, what is your response to the fact that the city will laugh at the people, city takes out a loan, then everyone pays interest on their unpaid tax bill and the city still comes out ahead because the interest they get when people do pay up exceeds the interest the city has to pay on the loan they take out?

Actually that is exactly what is needed to stop the homicidal baby killers who killed 8 civilian women and children yesterday, with a drone attack.

1.  Please tell us how you go about instructing your bank not to make the tax payment
Get your money out of escrow before you will not be allowed to.
2.   And tell us what you answer is to those who perhaps are paid off on their mortgage and they choose not to pay their $5,000 tax bill and when they do pay the added interest requires them to pay $9,000?
Don't pay, they'll have to put people in prison.
3.   What is your response to those who then have their credit record negatively impacted and how can't get credit to purchase a furnace when their furnace is shot, or they can't get a car loan?
You can't take on more debt.  That's a good thing.

So Bumbler, please explain what you would have as a result of economic meltdown?
Who would pay Police...or would they be expected to work for free,
or are we going to become vigilantes?
Who will manage the infrastructure or the repairs when needed?
What happens when the sewers back-up and flow into the street...will you clean that?
How about snow removal?  You going to walk up and down the street with a shovel?
Get the idea yet?  Not that we are afraid of the Government, as you say. Just that we
understand the implications of such a revolt.  Maybe you should go back and rethink
your position on voting and get all those with like thoughts to get out and vote. Effect change
via what our founding fathers created for us to use. Find candidates that are not the
same old politicians and support them and encourage them to run.  You won't change it
over night, but it will change. Power in numbers, especially when the numbers grow and
become an influential group.  Look at history and you will see that is exactly what has
occurred...no reason it can't improve and change for the better when the people put
an effort forth and band together to demand change.  Boycotts, withholding taxes,
filibusters, demonstrations....they don't really seem to do much.  Start impacting
a politicians political future...that gets their attention.  Not that I support Paul Jr.,
but look at his political changes.  It's not because he has researched and changed
his position as a result...it's because he's hearing what people are saying.  He wants to run
and knows he can't get there if he doesn't listen to the people, even if it's not in line
with his personal political beliefs.

Just jumping down from my soapbox!

Very well said

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

It would never get that far. The corrupt government would have egg all over their face once the media got a hold of this! I mean really.

Like i said....get the majority of the homeowners to go to a city council meeting with a 'copy' of their tax bills in hand and RIP THEM UP, THROW THEM IN THE AIR AND WALK THE HELL OUT!!!!!!

As far a voting, DONE.....they are all corrupt, greedy, power driven bastards!

So it's time for 'we the people' to take our government back and make them listen to us...FINALLY!!

these taxpayers are being scammed and raked right over the coals with this high taxation.

where the rich friends and family club are getting richer and the middle class and poor are getting poorer!

and by the way...the police are already doing squat...the infrastructure is already falling apart(bridge still not repaired) roads are a mess, plowing is all but absent.

ok...i'll get off my soapbox now.

Well I guess we'll just have to disagree on this.  Your interpretation is flawed (as I've pointed
out), and could never succeed or achieve a positive change. It would result in disaster on
many fronts, including and especially crime.  Rioting and looting would be common place.
Theft, home invasions would be the norm. Streets would be unsafe no matter how many guns you might
own or carry.

If you insist this is the solution, then follow your own suggestion and let us know how it works.
Maybe you can give us an example or two of how this has worked in any other society, past or present,
that has provided positive change without penalty!
