Who do you think will pay the high prices for the so called "upscale" (taxpayer funded) apartments downtown?   Apartments on properties that landlords collect rent but are tax exempt!!!

SCHENECTADY — A city man is under arrest, accused of stabbing someone in the back this morning downtown, authorities said. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Court paperwork suggests the injuries were not life threatening.

Arrested was 25-year-old Adebaye Lindsey, of 870 Emmett St. He faces one count of second-degree assault, a felony.

The incident happened just after 1:30 a.m. in the area of 469 State St. Lindsay stabbed the victim in the back, according to papers filed in court.

Details on what may have led up to the stabbing are not included in paperwork.

Officers caught up with Lindsay within minutes. Paperwork indicates the stabbing happened at 1:32 a.m. and Lindsey was in custody by 1:35 a.m.

Lindsey, however, is accused of refusing to officers orders and place his hands behind his back. For that, Lindsey faces misdemeanor counts of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, misdemeanors.

Kudos to the police but then again, the city must be using the taxpayers money to have more police downtown and less police in the neighborhoods where the taxpayers actually live.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
