I happened to see that at the most recent Planning Commission hearing, a proposed apartment complex on Peter Rd. , was defeated by a vote of 6-1. Seems a bunch of folks who live over there, banded together via FB and went to the meeting in a show of force and presented their arguments in opposition to the proposal. They must of made a convincing case.

Newest scuttlebutt is the project went down because Calder didn't want it.
The dissenting vote was cast by the chairman.
I'm getting all this from FB, so take it with a grain of salt.
