Ok, I'll try this. I'm putting mikechristine1 on the blocked users list. I'll see if not having to read their drivel makes this experience any less annoying. It's really too bad they can't put forth their info without the BS. They've lost any credibility they may have had with me. I'm pretty sure others here feel the same. I don't object nor disagree with the good stuff they post. I object to the way it's posted. When they stop posting using DV as a "whipping boy" and their constant bullying, then I will unblock them. Simple stuff really. To me "intelligent" and "adult" discussions are just that. They don't include playground taunts and the like. Their vendetta has been going on for at least four years from what I can tell. I'm not the only who objects to this behavior. Plenty of others here have spoken up. If you want to act like children then why not start a "childish bullying" page.
And just to set the record straight, I don't necessarily agree with everything DV posts. But I will at least give him the opportunity to say it.

The formula being used is similar to what Atlantic City has done with Gambling..which is why I am against the city Casino. The only people who benefit from the AC formula are the out of town businessmen and patrons. The city residents live in the same shithole that was there before the Casinos came.

I've been here just a short time, but have yet to see any moderation what so ever. I have reported some of mikechristines posts to the administrator of the site, just to be clear.

No, I'm not favoring bullying when it comes to kids...and adults for that matter...But lets get real, what is happening here is NOT bullying..but what is happening is a lot of WHINING. MikeChristine is posting of lot legitimate concerns, and he (or she) is bringing along facts to back them up.
DV gets a lot of attention because he is a member of an official town planning board and most likely has more inside connections than most of on this board to Schenectady County government. If anyone should have a rounded view of what's happening, he should. But he refuses to discuss the negative things going on in the county, and just continues with his Nirvana babble.
All I can say is look at the facts in the City... the rich get richer and poor get poorer. The real estate that the rich own get municipal improvements and the others do not. The real estate values in all surrounding counties are going up but ours are not. The abandoned housing problem in the city is getting larger, not smaller....and DV is touting a AC style casino for the city? Just look to AC and see the results.

Look, I agree with everything you say about the city. And as I previously posted, I actually agree with the facts mike posts as well. I merely object to his presentation. Blinders on Haha, that's funny. I'm probably more aware of what's going on than you realize. I've been around a very long time. My only sadness is I will never live long enough to see the city become anything other than what it is now. That deeply saddens me.
As for the bullying aspect, which is my ONLY objection to some postings, it is INDEED bullying. Here are some synonyms for bullying:

Would you applaud that? Would you say "good riddance, he was a cheerleader for our failing city"? And what if the shoe was on the other foot, and you were being stalked and constantly harassed for having an opinion?
Somehow I think you have more humanity than that. And that's the only point I'm trying to make. It's really not about DV or any one individual. It's about how we as humans wish to be treated by other humans.
I think when I get back from a doctors appt. this afternoon I'm going to start a new thread devoted to bullying. I think that topic may need further discussion, as we sure enough hi-jacked this thread with it.
