Joe Allen.

Look at his words from this Gazette story - the paragraph on the bottom.   "I have to pay my taxes....how can anyone get away without paying.   Hmmmm.   Yes, how does someone get away with paying?

Get's a whopping over $45,000 a year in his lavish government pension, plus whatever in social security, I'd bet that's another $15,000 to $20,000 at least, paying next to nothing for health insurance PLUS we state taxpayers reimbursement for his medicare premium.

And three years DELINQUENT in school taxes, guessing the same for city/co taxes.  I mean come on, his total school tax bill is not even $900 a year!

And as usual,  I provide FACTS and provide the EVDIENCE to support those facts

Assessed at $69,100.00

Valued at $56,179.00

Combined taxes are nearly $4,000($12,000)

It's listed as 1 family, but looks like 2.

If he has it rented, he could already be almost to the actual value of the house without even selling it.

By the time the city takes the property he could have netted a lot more than the property was worth, vs paying the taxes and trying to sell it outright.

Homes become eligible for foreclosure in the spring after, 3 years of non-payment.

Ah, one of DV's DEM heroes, a TAX DEADBEAT, and DV REFUSES to address this.

Just like he REFUSES to speak now that we provided proof of another dem political crony, albeit a millionaire, also being a TAX DEADBEAT (after collecting tons from the taxpayers)

I would stop paying my taxes and rent the house out in an instant if the taxes saved and rent combined would net me more than the actual value.

That's just good economic action.

Raising the taxes to the point where it becomes more profitable to stop paying taxes, rent and run, are the actions of the real villains.

I would not blame any homeowner for doing the same.

It's basically self defense against greedy tax hungry politicians.

The city can't even begin to stop it from happening.

The downward spiral has already begun.

Hundreds and hundreds of homes are rented and the owners have stopped paying the taxes.

This system makes more money than selling outright for many city homes.

Lowering taxes is the only way to end it.

Across from Combo's in Mt Pleasant, is a store that sells just about anything.

They told me that they moved from their previous location after the city finally took possession of the property from the owner.

The owner made more money not paying taxes and renting, than by selling the overtaxed property.

A local guy I know who has a small business here in the city went to a meeting recently where one of the things the speaker talked of is what you're
posting about in regards to people buying  properties, mostly for cheap, renting them out, not paying  taxes and mortgage payments, then walking away. He was looking for a small commercial bldg, he didn't realize it was a residential presentation only.

A "thank you" to mr. Allen with his lavish taxpayer funded pension.

Audit takes Schenectady school district to task

Friday, September 5, 2014

SCHENECTADY — The Schenectady City School District hasn’t been paying off its yearly temporary loans, costing it   ["it" meaning the TAXPAYERS]  more than $824,000 in interest and fees over the past three years, according to a state audit.
[/b]
The state Comptroller’s Office released the audit Thursday. It criticized the school district for spending much of its savings and for borrowing more than it could pay back each year.

...
School board President Cathy Lewis said the problem was that some people don’t pay their property taxes.

“Remember, we don’t get fully paid by each tax payment,” she said.

...
